a mutual friend introduced us to Jamaal who became a good friend over the yearsByVictor S. Syon March 31, 2015Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseMany moons ago, I followed the coaching career of fellow Indiana State alumnus John Wooden who coached Jamaal Wilkes. Liza, a mutual friend introduced us to Jamaal who became a good friend over the years. My wife and I are fascinated at how humble he is, despite all his accomplishments. He is well rounded and balanced, bright on and off the court - all star on the court, honor student off the court. His book revealed even more humility that makes us so proud to be his friends. He is a good inspiration to our youth who are in dire need of clean and decent athletes. :)CommentWas this review helpful to you?YesNoReport abuse1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Wilkes was one of only three Bruins in school history to earn Academic All-American honors for three straight seasons.

As in college, Wilkes’ 12-year NBA career was noteworthy for team championships and individual honors. A first round draft selection by the Golden State Warriors, Wilkes played for Golden State (1975-77), the Los Angeles Lakers (1978-85) and the Los Angeles Clippers (1986).
