Following Jackson Mason through war, loss, leadership, and love gave me chills more than once—especially during the scenes where he had to balance personal sacrifice with the fate of the galaxy. I really enjoyed how the author blended deep character moments with explosive action and political tension without ever feeling overdone. It felt like I was right there in the trenches, rooting for Mason every step of the way.
