When Ian Stuart went back to college to get his Master's, he never imagined that the woman he fell in love with was not just his princess, but a Crown Princess. With that news came the realization that they could never have a relationship. That was until years later when not only were the Royal family's lives at stake but also the monarch itself. When he heard the news, Ian immediately volunteered to be Sophia's protection as he was now with the FBI. By being together again, would the two finally understand that what they had was not just love, but true love, which could stand any test of time.

Can one say a book is beautiful? I hope so because that is the way I felt while reading this book. There was romance that could survive the test of family and time, and even a little action thrown in as well. It is a great read, one that I recommend to everyone.

Wonderful second chance story!! Great writing makes this one so enjoyable. Even though it is a novella length story, the characters are well developed and the pace of the story is perfect. Excellent afternoon read.

Eight years ago, Ian and Sophie were young, in college, and very much in love. Both their worlds are shattered when the startling fact that Sophie is in fact a princess and must return to her country is revealed. Neither has ever forgotten the other and when her life is in danger Ian knows he is the only one who can keep her safe.

This is one highly recommend!!

Ian Stuart and Sofie, classmates at university, fell in love with each other eight years ago but she had an important secret that she didn’t tell him about - she is a princess. That secret tore them apart, they’ve never met again until she visits America and he’s the FBI Special Agent assigned to protect her. Insurgents in her home country are targeting the royal family and, as heir to the throne, she’s high on their list and he’s in charge of her security. After a significant attempt on the lives of her parents and sister, Sofie needs to go into hiding and Ian is now responsible for keeping her alive. Will their love for each other rekindle? Can they outwit the insurgents? Does their love stand a chance?

This is a wonderful second chance romance with terrorists, political intrigue and double dealers all thrown in for good measure. Although this is the fourth book in the Royal Holiday series, it works well as a stand alone and you really don’t need to have read any of the others to enjoy this one. A great read, I highly recommend this to chicklit lovers who, like me, appreciate a great story with their romance!

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

When two hearts are meant to be together sometimes fate has other plans at least that is what Ian has been telling himself for the last 8 years. In the meantime he has been busting his but trying to forget the one person who made an impact on his heart and his life. Sofie, she is always being told how to do this or do that, she has never been able to make a decision without the approval of her parents, the only choose she has ever made was to love a man who she knew would not be able to love her back, or would he? This book from the get go is on the edge of your seat and you find your self so drawn into the story you can picture yourself there. The story is so well written and the chemistry of the characters is just popping of the page, this book out of the 4 princess books has to be my favorite.

His Forbidden Princess is another winning novella for author Jeannie Moon and Tule Publishing. Ms. Moon is one of my favorite writers and every book that she pens guarantees a totally captivating experience for the reader.

Eight years ago Ian and Sophia fell madly in love while attending college. During their short but blissful time together, Sophie never mentioned that she was actually a princess, and second in line to the throne of a small, European country. Their relationship ended abruptly, but their love never waned.

Now years later they meet again. Ian is a former army ranger and head of Sophie's security detail while she is visiting New York City. Sophie's country is in turmoil and her life as well as her family's is in danger. Ian ends up whisking her to safety, when Sophie's family is almost killed by insurgents. Spending lots of time together and posing as a couple reignites their feelings, which evolves into a future that neither of them ever believed possible.

I truly enjoyed this well-written novella. It is replete with great characters, a plot that twists and turns in all the right places, and an ending that will definitely leave you smiling from ear to ear. Overall, a solid read from an author that never fails to entertain.

His Forbidden Princess by Jeannie Moon is a great story. Sophie has known from an early age that she can never escape her station in life. There will always be unexpected situations that will have be endured and dangers that she will have to face. The one time that she was able to just be herself, not Princess Sophie, she lost the love of her life when her identity was revealed. Ian and Sophie never got over each other. Now faced with danger once again her first love Ian is the agent assigned to protect her. Can these two find their second chance? I love the twists and turns this story took. Found it to be a fun ride. Received this book for an honest review. GREAT BOOK!

Sophie was a princess not ready to take on her title. She wanted to fall in love and didn't care if the man was titled. None of that matter to her. So when the man of her dreams finds out who she really is she realizes that even if she doesn't care about a title it doesn't mean that he doesn't care that she is a princess.

Fast forward eight years later where Sophie is visiting the States while her country is in turmoil. Unbeknownst to her, Ian her former love is the one in the background making sure that she is safe. When he finds out that her life is in danger, he takes her to his family home to hide her in plain sight. After spending eight years still loving her and not having her it makes his job even harder to resist. Sophie isn't even trying to resist her pull towards Ian. She knows that this slight break might be the only time that she will ever have with him and she isn't willing to waste it. Soon passions unite and both of them realize that sometimes love is worth the risk.

This book was both passionate and exciting with the dangers brought to Princess Sophie by the terrorists. I loved how Ian was willing to sacrifice everything in order to not only keep her safe but to make her happy. He was her perfect match even if he was to stubborn to see it. The only reason I didn't give this book four stars was I wish it were longer and more expanded upon. I loved the romance but I wish we could have seen him work for her forgiveness more. Maybe it was just me but I just didn't want it to end. Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone and can't wait for the next book by this talented author.

Ian and Princess Sofia met in college eight years earlier, fell in love and then were separated due to their not being of the same "class" in life. They meet up again when the princess is visiting New York where Ian, now an FBI agent, is heading her security detail. The royal family comes under attack and Ian has to hide out with the princess. This is a wonderful book and I couldn't put it down until I was finished. I highly recommend this and all books by Jeannie Moon, who is a marvelous author!

Sophie and Ian had been in love as college students. At the time of their romance Sophie was just an exoticly beautiful student, it wasn’t until one fateful night that Ian learned the harsh truth. Sophie was a princess, the second in line for the crown of a small country. She had attended school as an average girl because she never wanted the crown, but her mother, the Queen had other intentions. Ian had harshly broken up with Sophie, sending her back home under her mother’s watchful eyes. He was older and understood that their lives would never, ever mesh. It was obvious that the Queen felt the same way. Two hearts were broken that night, two lives forever changed simply because two people dared to fall in love.

Today, almost a decade later, Crown Princess Sophie is in New York City. There is trouble in her country, terrorists are threatening lives if the Royal Family does not step down. Sophie is in America to talk to several officials about help for her country. While she is in New York City, her parents and younger sister were attacked and immediately the FBI Special Agent in charge of her protection detail has her brought back to her hotel. Angry and upset, the last person Princess Sophie expects to see walk into her hotel room is Special Agent Ian Stuart. The man she still loves, the man who sent her away and broke her heart.

Ian will do anything in his power to keep Sophie safe. Even if she is angry, at least she’ll be safe. Ian strongly suspects that someone inside Sophie circle knew of or planned the failed attack on her today. It is his plan to hide her in plain sight – at his family’s home on a remote and private island. He can better defend against attack from his family’s homestead, and even if it is painful for them both, at least she will be alive.

Just because a story is packaged within a novella, never assume that you will not be getting a full, interesting, intense and entertaining story. His Forbidden Princes was a completely enjoyable read. Sophie and Ian’s story is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. These two love each other and know the dangers of being forced together by circumstances. At times funny, at other times tense and action filled, this is a story that you need to add to your collection of really good romance novels to read soon.

I recommend His Forbidden Princess for anyone who loves romance and second chances. I was swept away into a truly enjoyable story. Pick this one up and sit back while you get lost in the story.

*I received an e-ARC of His Forbidden Princess from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

I love Sofie and Ian!! This is a beautiful second chance at love story.

Facing circumstances unknown to him, Ian falls head o Erika heels for Sofie. As she does for him. But when he finds out who she really is, he knows they will never be together.

Eight years later Princess Sofia and her family are facing terroristic threats. And the only one to keep her safe is Ian.
Can they put their past behind them and stay focused on her safety or will their passion reignite? Will they be able to overcome his unwelcome station or will her parents keep them apart? I loved the passion between these two. And Ian's reluctance to jeopardize her because of his feelings only added another point of conflict between them. Love this one Jeannie!!

The past and the future highlighted this wonderful book about a Prince who is known for his wild side and the woman that has held his heart for nine long years. And, about a woman who fell totally in love at 19 only to have him just disappear in the middle of the night and not to be heard from for nine long years. Yes, I think you know where this one is going. But, getting there is only half the fun … when you arrive, it’s even better than you thought it would be.
Brenna started her life over as her now ex-husband ruined what she had been building. Her partner, Willow and her daughter Maisie are what drives her to make the best of her PR firm in Cornetta. She’ll only take on clients that are ethical and refuses anyone who she feels she cannot represent honestly. When the summons comes from the palace to represent Prince Emory Vicenza after a faux-pas that has the country reeling, she knows that her past and her present are about to collide.
The Rogue Prince Ronan Vicenza knows that bringing Brenna to the palace is the wrong thing to do. But, he can’t help himself and really needs to help his brother overcome his remarks about unwed mothers. They needed the best PR firm and he knew that Brenna was the one to do this. But, in convincing her to take the job, he also has to agree to let her have a go on his image as well. Will they both be able to survive the close quarters, working together, the memories of their time together on the Isle of Green or the forbidden love that they shared.
A promise made in the past, living up to a ghosts expectations and fighting his attraction to Brenna has Ronan frustrated and angry. Hiding her ex-husband’s exploitation of prior clients and her past with Ronnie Vee has Brenna on edge and worried. But, the threat of a journalist, facing the feelings that they both have for each other and an understanding Queen gives both of them the future that neither of them dreamed that they could have.
I love these little modern-day royalty stories. Yea, it will never happen to you or me but it’s nice to think that someone just may find the prince or princess that completes them. Maybe it’s the Kate and William syndrome or everyone’s infatuation with Diana in the past but, they are very heart warming. Kathleen O’Brien brought a beautiful place to life. With descriptions of Cornetta and the Isle of Green, you felt that you were there … could hear and feel the waterfalls, the hustle and bustle of the castle. Her characters were life-like with true life problems … some of the celebrity kind and some of the commoner kind, and brought to life with flare. Written with a conscious thought to the plight of the unwed mother and having to live with past mistakes, I thoroughly enjoyed His Defiant Princess and really look forward to more from this genre.

They fell in love as students and on the night Ian told her that he loved her and would never love another, was the night Sofie was taken away from him because her mother the Queen of Aubonne, thinks that he is below her station.
8 years later Crown Princess Sofia is on a diplomatic visit to New York and FBI Special Agent Ian Stuart is leading her protection detail, because Aubonne is now over run with insurgents and terrorists who are out to hurt her and her family.
Of all 4 books in the Royal Holiday series, this one is the longest and the only one that has a thriller/suspense plot. It is fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat at times but it is also wrought with passion and romance.

His Forbidden Princess by Jeannie Moon is the fourth novella in the Royal Holiday series. I have said before that I started this series because the first author is a favorite of mine. I decided to continue on with the series to introduce myself to three more new to me authors and have enjoyed each book so much, this one included.

Ian and Sofia first met eight years ago in college. They first became friends, then fell in love. Ian had never met anyone like Sofia before and fell hard. Sofia was equally deeply in love with Ian but she withheld one important fact regarding her identity. Beneath the blue jeans, t-shirts and pony tail, she was really Crown Princess Sofia of Aubonne, second in line for the throne. When her mother, the Queen, learned of the relationship, Sofia was pulled away and the relationship ended.

Eight years later, rebels have become active in Sofia’s country and her family is in danger. Sofia is in New York when the situation becomes desperate and Sofia needs to be protected. Enter now Special Agent Ian Stuart, assigned to personally protect the princess. The danger is getting closer so Ian needs to hide Sofia where no one would expect her to be. So he takes her to his family’s estate in Shelter Island, New York. Here they can safely stay until the dangerous rebels are located and stopped.

“He treated her visit with the same care he gave every other dignitary. But she was more. She’d always been more.”

While they are hiding in plain sight on the island, Ian gets a glimpse of the Sofia he remembers from their youth, in her blue jeans, no make up, no royal duties. But what happens when this is over? If they allow their feelings for one another to resurface, is there a future for them? Will Sofia even have a country to go home to? Would Ian ever fit into that life?

“Once upon a time, her love for him had her ready to leave her entire life behind. Her home, her family, her responsibility…it was crazy. She would have followed him anywhere. And now they were here together and her feelings were welling up all over again.”

While Ian and Sofia are on the island, Sofia gets the chance to try her first Twinkie and eat her first lobster roll. Along with everything else they are dealing with, the island is threatened with a rare tropical storm.

This book was wonderful, it was the perfect mix of the fairy tale with the added suspense of Sofia needing protection from the rebels. Ian and Sofia clearly shared that once in a life time love and as soon as they were reunited, they both knew the feelings were still just as strong. I loved getting to know Ian and Sofia and look forward to reading more by Jeannie Moon. This is a perfect addition to this series and I truly enjoyed it.

“She’d given him up once for her family and country, but not again. She would not live without Ian ever again.”

A reunion love story between Sophia and Ian. They fell in love in college, but Sophia left out a minor detail to Ian, that she was a princess. Her family said that Ian was never good enough for their daughter. Fast forward, Sophia's life is in danger and Ian, FBI agent, has come to protect her. They go into hiding in remote New York. The chemistry between these two are still there. an they make it work this time?
This is a novella but a packed full story, well developed characters. I love Jeannie Moon's writing style. This is book that I highly recommend. I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

Book Review: His Forbidden Princess by Jeannie Moon

A romantic thriller, “His Forbidden Princess” by Jeannie Moon proposes a scenario wherein the heroine is royalty and the hero is the commoner.

American Ian Stuart and Princess Sofia met while both of them were in Cambridge. Though their love is true, Sofia has to do her duty and return to her country breaking both hers and Ian’s hearts in the process.

Eight years later, during a visit to New York as the Crown Princess of her country, Sofia became the target of a terrorist attack. Ian’s timely intervention and quick thinking saved her life; but will they be able to save their hearts?

“His Forbidden Princess” is another great read from Jeannie Moon who always make you fall in love with the hero and heroine as they struggle to find their happily ever after. Flawed like all humans, Ms. Moon’s characters are not anti-heroes. Rather, they are real and readers can relate to their angst and anguish.

“His Forbidden Princess” is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review Ian Stuart is a special agent. He's been guarding dignitaries. Now has to guard the Crown Princess Sofia of Aubonne who he had been in love with 8 years earlier, until her mother showed up and pointed out Sofia's duty. Then Ian broke it off. Sofia's older brother had been killed by a rebel faction, which left Sofia the heir to the throne. Ian headed a squad of counter-terrorism specialists. Seeing Ian again had reminded Sofia what it was like to be so in love that it hurt. Sofia's family had been attacked on the way through the mountains and her younger sister was hurt. Ian was to take Sofia out of hotel. He decided to take her to his family's place on Shelter Island. Sofia was more naturally emotional than the rest of her family. Sofia still felt easy with Ian, even though he had broken her heart.Ian felt Sofia's voice was music and always loved to hear her talk. Sofia was a princess, but she had plenty of grit. She had become independent to a degree. I found her to be loyal, loving, and kind. She loved her family, but Ian was the one for her. She was feisty and didn't do well with following orders. Ian was trustworthy, loyal, kind and caring. I found Ian to be strong and protective. He, too, had only one true love and it was Sofia. I loved the whole story. It was great, especially since it was a novella and still managed to tell a whole story. Great writing, great plot. I highly recommend it.

His Forbidden Princess is the fourth and final book in the Royal Holiday series, and I have to say, it ends the series with a bang. I loved Ian and Sophie together and their story is filled with uncertainty. What would you do if the girl you fell in love with, but whose heart you broke, needed your protection? Ian made sure that he was the one to protect Sophie, even if it meant risking his heart again in the process. Both characters were strong and despite all that life had thrown at them, they still loved one another. Ian was humble enough to make Sophie thing her dad asked Ian to guard her, when in reality he asked to be the one to protect her. I don't think there could have been a better ending to this series. My one note about this series that sets it apart from many others is there is no interaction between any of the characters from the other books. I feel that the only thing they have in common is the theme of one person being a royal. While this does nothing to take away from the books, it also makes it hard for me to truly view this as a series. Either way, I loved this book and give it 5 stars

First, thank you Jeannie Moon for writing this book, second, Tull Publishing, for publishing the book, and third, to NetGalley the availability of this book, I absolutely loved it. I loved it so much I bought a copy for my library, again, thank you.

This book is sort of a reverse Cinderella or what you might say Ian-nella. The book started out while both Ian and Sophia were at Cambridge University eight years ago. Sophia never told Ian who she really was, a princess. He fell in love with her anyway and she with him. When Ian finds out who she really is even though he loves her he breaks it off, thinking he is not good enough for her.

Eight years later while Sophia is visiting the US, there is terrorist attack on the rest of her family. Thankfully, the attempt is unsuccessfully and they go into hiding.

In steps, Special Agent Ian Stewart who heads voluntarily, her protection detail. He takes her into protective custody; he however does not take her to a safe house. She finds out that some of people close to her are not so loyal at all, which hurts her.

This is a wonderful story for a second chance at love, a love that never died for either of them. I love the way the author Jeannie Moon writes the story in such a believable way. The way she writes it brings you into the story in such a phenomenal way. When I started the story I did not know it was part of a series now that I do I am going to go find the rest of these books. I have found another great author to follow in Jeanie Moon. Jeannie, you are a phenomenal writer.

Again, thank you Tull Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of this book I loved it!

Thank you for reading my review I hope you enjoy this book half as much as I did.

4 Stars I was given this book for my honest review A Simple Syrup consists of 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar bringing to a slow boil till all the sugar is dissolved and let to cool. Most cocktails today have some sort of this syrup impressed within the drink. As this syrup is brought into our everyday lives we can come to see that what is simple is not always the cause but the effect that we have on one. When the combination is mixed with the perfect flavor it becomes an irresistible taste that we can crave but at the same time may be untouchable.
Ian-hot sexy, explosive Sofie-princess, reserved, pretty Ian and Sofie’s journey is not one for the story books but at the same time heartache with a touch of mystery it may just be one. The resolve from a past love to a future love is not to be obscured but embraced. When the past meets future with force can these two that were doomed at the start find their true hearts to each? Will the new binding that holds their hearts be just what the stars ordered up on the proverbial silver platter? Will the hot sex get more explosive or will it fizzle?
To the author: This was an amazing read for the books but at the same time I cried in all the right places, I screamed at both characters many times. This read was fun and even though at times became serious was a book that was a flow of great proportions you held me from the first word to the very last word read. Kudos To the readers: This is a fun read, it is one that will have you screaming at Ian but also at Sofie. It will have you crying in all the right places and say AWE at the end.
Happy Reading

His Forbidden Princess is a novella by Jeannie Moon and book four of the Royal Holiday series. A forbidden and second chance romance, the book stars Sophie and Ian who meet while Ian is a graduate fellow in England. They're in love, but when the truth about Sophie being a princess is revealed, they're separated until years later.

After eight years, Ian is now a special agent who has volunteered to protect Sophie from terrorist during her visit to the U.S. After her family is attacked, he takes Sophie to his family home where they spend time together and reconnect.

His Forbidden Princess is a cute short story that moves along well especially with the added action. I also liked the fact that Sophie loved Twinkies! :) The whole scene with Uncle John and him telling Sophie what a Twinkie was amusing.

Overall, a must read for anyone who likes royals and second chance romances. Or for anyone for a quick read that has a happy ending.

A royal forbidden romance, mixed with action and tension. A modern day fairy tale. The connection between Ian and Sofie is real and raw, true love. But her family and country stood between them, until they needed Ian's help to keep Sofie safe.
Even though the situation is fragile, Sofie's life in danger, the feelings from the past come back, the connection is still there like they have never been apart. The reunion is rather sweet, and tender. Ian's protective strike is strong, he is willing to do anything to keep Sofie safe and happy.
I absolutely adored when they get together, and they both state their intentions, by saying 'I choose you', cause that is the true commitment, choosing each other every day.
The action in the story is in the background, even though the tension and the danger is constantly present. But that bit of a stress from the possible attack, and not knowing who to trust, gave the story extra spice. Lovely, sweet, entertaining and a quick read for a rainy night

His Forbidden Princess was a beautifully done second chance love story. It had a strong beginning, a captivating middle, and a very sweet end. The protagonists were well matched and likable. The conflicts that were presented by the author were just right and allowed the story to flow nicely.

This is a short sweet contemporary romance, a novella in the loosely connected Royal Holiday series.
I liked this book. Second chance romance between a princess, Sofie, and an American, Ian, who was her college love and is now her security officer, and bodyguard. I loved when they went to his family vacation house as a safe house. It was so sweet to see them reconnect, against the background of his family and memories. I loved his uncle leaving them alone there, with a storm coming. The uncle knew Ian would protect Sophie from the storm, both weather and bad guys.
I think there is potential here for several more characters to have their own stories. I hope so. I felt this story was too short - I want more.

Eight years ago, university students Ian and Sofie fell in love but she had kept one little detail about her life from Ian. She was a princess, and they could never be together because her family would not approve of their relationship. Ian never forgets her and he can't replace her in his heart...instead he focuses on his career.

Now Crown Princess Sofia is in danger. An insurgent faction in her country has targeted the royal family, and while Sofia is visiting the United States, she is forced to go into hiding. Assigned to protect her is none other than FBI Special Agent Ian Stuart.

This is wonderful second chance romance. I really love this series...after reading each of the books in the series I have ended with a smile on my face and this one was no different. It is an easy enjoyable read and I recommend it and all the others in the Royal Holiday series.

His Forbidden Princess is book #4 in the Royal Holiday series and I really enjoyed reading it.

From the book blurb:

Eight years ago, university student Ian Stuart fell in love with his sweet, beautiful classmate and he’s never forgotten her. Sofie loved Ian with all her heart in return, but she didn’t trust him with one little detail about her life she’d neglected to share.

She was a princess, and they could never be together in the outside world.

Now Crown Princess Sofia is in danger. An insurgent faction in her country has targeted the royal family, and while Sofia is visiting the United States, she is forced to go into hiding. Assigned to protect her is none other than FBI Special Agent Ian Stuart.

Ian was Sofia first and last love but she was forced to choose her duty over love all this years ago and now Ian is assigned to protect her and she's hoping they can have a second chance in love but it's going to be hard to convince Ian that she truly loves him and that she's willing to give up her role as the future queen in order to be with him.

I really enjoyed reading about Ian and Sofia, they were both interesting characters. Sofia is a strong woman that is not afraid to speak her mind but also not ashamed that she needs comfort and help with dealing with the news about the danger her family is in.

Ian never really stop loving Sofia but he knows he made the right choice in breaking up with her 8 years ago since he understood that they can't have a future together but spending a lot of them alone with Sofia brings back memories he's trying to forget and it's getting harder and harder for him to fight his attraction to Sofia.

His Forbidden Princess is a great addition to the series and I really enjoyed reading it.

(My review is based on ARC e-book provided by publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion.)

This 110 page contemporary romance novella by Jeannie Moon is book #4 of a series called Royal Holiday. Since I have not read any of the three preceding titles, which have been written by different authors, I do not know if this book ties into them. With its second chance at love theme between Sofia, a princess of a very small European country, and her former college boyfriend turned FBI special agent Ian, the storyline revolves around Ian protecting her from terrorists bent on overthrowing her monarchy while she is visiting the US. If you are looking for a sweet, quick read with a predictable HEA, you may want to consider this one. For a short novella, the author did a good job of character development and the storyline was interesting. About 70% into the book, I did start to feel the writing was a little stilted. Harlequin Romance fans especially will likely highly approve of His Forbidden Princess.

This is a wonderful story of lost and found love.
Eight years ago, a boy and a girl where going to college together. The boy falls madly in love with the girl and the girl is just as smitten with the boy. But the girl's got a secret. She's not just an everyday girl. She's a princess! And the boy just doesn't thing he's good enough :(

But that was then and this is now .

Present day ... Sophia has come back to the States for a visit. During this visit, an attempt on her family is made and although unsuccessful, it puts Sophia on lock-down. In the States. Under the watchful eye of none other than Special Agent Ian Stewart, FBI. THIS is their second chance at getting it right! Because their love never died!

This is not my first read by Jeannie Moon. I've loved every book I've read of hers. Her quality of writing is exceptional and she always makes her characters come to life with vivid storytelling ability! I loved this story! It was heartwarming and beautiful. It's a story of love and hope and believing!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! ARC kindly provided by Tule Publishing via NetGalley for an honest review

His Forbidden Princess, Royal Holiday series book 4, is my favorite of the series. I love Jeannie Moon books! I haven't read one I didn't like. His Forbidden Princess didn't disappoint. With one of my favorite tropes, reunited love/second chance love, I fell for Ian and Sofia's story.

Sofie and Ian fell in love at Cambridge, eight years ago. Unfortunately, their romance was interrupted when Sofie's mother, the Queen, came to take her home. Blind-sided, Ian did the only thing he thought he could, he stepped aside. Now, Sofie, now next in line for the throne, is in New York, Ian is the Agent in charge of her detail. When more violence forces her family into hiding, Ian springs into action to protect Sofie. To keep her safe, Ian makes the decision to trust no one, and Sofie gets a return to "normal" life with Ian. With the turmoil, both have a chance to try again. Is a former military man and FBI agent going to be good enough for a future Queen?
A very quick novella, easy to read in an afternoon. Moon created fun characters with depth. It was interesting watching these two reconnect and come to terms with the past, present, and future. This was a enjoyable twist on a fairy tale. The publisher provided an Advanced Reader Copy via NetGalley for an honest review.

I’m glad I’ve been given the chance to read this fourth book in the Royal Holiday series. I’ve read the first three stories, all of which tug at my heart. The 4th Royalty is not far from behind.

Sofie was once an ordinary student in The States and lived her life normally, the way it should be. She had friends, she spent time in school, she fell in love. But she couldn’t give her heart to the one that had captured it. She couldn’t return Ian Stuart’s love.

Eight years later, Sofie was crowned as a princess. But this time, her life is in danger. She’s back in the U.S. A. She’d dodged bullets and paparazzi but there’s one person she couldn’t escape from now that she’s forced to hide. She discovered the one who’d be with her all throughout her everyday chores, she couldn’t believe she’d ever see him again. Because her first love was back. Ian was back in her life. And he was going to protect her as a FBI Special Secret Agent.

I fell in love again with this story of a commoner and a royalty. I could feel how Ian was hurt and devastated before. And now he’d finally learned the truth, and it pained him even more to see her again. Ian melted my heart with his devotion to Sofie amid all the hurt she caused and he’d been through. HE tried to deny it, but I can tell, his feelings for the princess only grows by the minute. The terrorist attacks, the threats to the monarchy, the steamy and hot and heavy scenes between the two of them – all of which add up to the drama and intensity of the story. Cheers to another great title from Jeannie Moon and from the Royal Holiday series.

I received a review copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This cover is a little different to the other covers in this series and I actually think that it is loads better than the others. I love that it has the two main characters in the cover as there is two main characters in the story so it is more fitting than the other covers when they only had a female on the cover. I feel like the colours are more inviting than the other covers so it stands out over all the others.

For the most part I really enjoyed this book, it was very addicting and I found myself looking forward to what was going to happen next. There was a couple of moments that I felt dragged out a little too long and then other times when it was too rushed. The chemistry between the two main characters Ian and Sophie was mixed as one minute you could tell they where in love with each other and then there was other times when I just didn't understand what they felt about each other. The end of the book was the main area that was rushed as it felt like there was gaps in the story. I would love to have read this as a full length novel as I think that maybe it would have been an amazing read.

I had mixed feeling about the main characters but their was a secondary character that I liked through out but would have liked to have seen him more involved with in the story. Sophie at times came across as this sweet, down to earth girl but she did seem a little annoying at times. Ian was a nice enough character for the most part but a couple of things that happened put me of his character.

Overall, this was a good novella and definitely the best from this series but because it was a short story I felt like there was a lot of times didn't come across like they could have if it was a full length novel.

It was good, I felt for Ian & Sofia for the position that their love put them in. Sofia being a princess in line for the throne of a small European country was destined to be pulled away from Ian a former army ranger & now graduate student.. Years later they are brought together again but this time it's by a threat on her life & Ian is head of the FBI task force in charge of her safety. They both realize that the love they felt for each other never died it was just hidden deep inside because when they are forced to be alone together it comes back full force. With killers on her tail Ian has to keep her alive but what will happen when all is said & done. Will they have the future that they wanted or will that life be pulled away from them again?

Apparently for this fourth and final volume it converted roles. In previous books was the man of royal blood and the common girl while this time there is the powerful princess and the plebeian boy. Oh, but what I like tormented and prohibited love stories! I am romantic in nature but rather when love triumphs after facing various obstacles. In short, that suffered and gained, otherwise there is no taste.

Ian and Sofie could seem like two simple university students who feel attracted to each other. Their love was gradual, from friends have become inseparable lovers. But their story is going to end because of a secret about the girl. Sofie is a princess and therefore can not be with an ordinary person. She loved deeply Ian until her mother, the queen, she is not putting in the middle of making them break off the relationship. So the two find themselves with the broken heart.
The thing seemed to end there but after eight years the lovers find themselves in dangerous circumstances. The life of Sofie is threatened by rebels and Ian is the one who has the task of protecting her. Their feelings will come back to haunt them but ultimately it will prevail? Will they stay together in spite of the social differences?

Obviously the story has a rather quick cadence as it is contained in a little over a hundred pages but I have to say that I weighed this fact. It was a short read but enough pleasant. The Moon has created a novel with simple arguments already treated thousands of times, to read without being pretentious and for give moments to dream and relax. A "once upon a time" with a princess who falls in love with her savior bloodless blue and shining armor named Ian Stuart.

**My thanks to NetGalley and Tule Publishing, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

Although the plot on this book is good, it felt a little rushed, especially at the end which was a little disappointing, however the story was still good.

Both characters met before in the past when the Princess ends up in trouble with her past lover as her protector. Of course the past comes rushing back as does the emotions and feelings.
