Very enjoyable read! On their wedding day, Lindsey Ballard finds her husband-to-be in an intimate moment with another. Realizing there is no way she would be getting married she runs. Right in to the arms of the last man she wants to see. Myles Emery has been trying to talk with Lindsey for weeks. He is writing a book and really needs to speak to her about some of the facts. When he shows up at the church he never expects to help the bride-to-be make a quick escape!

This one is very well written and quite entertaining. I definitely recommend it!

There Goes the Bride is the third release in the Runaway Brides series by Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock but, as was the case with the prequel and first novella, this can be read as a standalone. I liked the premise of two people who should be adversaries finding it difficult to remain as such because of their attraction to one another. Both Lindsey and Myles have to constantly remind themselves that they shouldn't trust the other person but all the time they spend together makes them want to take a risk.

The fact that Lindsey is estranged for her family adds an interesting touch to the overall story. The need to protect their step-grandmother's legacy could be a uniting factor, especially between her and her older sister Samantha. Also, the reason why Lindsey decides to call off her wedding was something I can't remembering encountering in other books involving runaway brides or canceled weddings so kudos to the authors for that original twist to the story, though I do think it could have been played up a bit more.

One of the things I appreciated most about this novella was that there wasn't any insta-love involved. Yes, Lindsey and Myles were attracted to one another early on but there were no declarations of undying love, considering that the story only spans several days. It ends on a hopeful note, one that allows you to formulate a happy future for the two lead characters. There Goes the Bride was a very quick read, allowing me to finish it in less than an hour, and one that will leave you with a smile on your face. Four stars! ♥

There Goes the Bride is a fun, action packed read with a down home small time vibe. Of course every good story has to have a few secret discoveries along the way. This is book 3 in Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock's Runaway Brides series. I have enjoyed each and every one so far and am anxiously awaiting the next. Received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

This is the third book in the Runaway Bride series. However, it definitely can be read as a stand alone since there is only a very brief mention of the heroine of the previous book (The Wedding Audition). This short novel starts off just before Lyndsay is about to marry when she realizes her fiancé is only marrying her to maintain an image. So when Myles offers her a ride out of town she takes it even though he is looking to writing her an expose of her family. But when sparks start to fly, can Lyndsay trust her judgment with men or maintain the family secret. I really enjoyed reading about the quirky characters in this short novel and frankly I hope that authors Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock decide to give Lyndsay's sister, Sam, her own HEA in a future book.

A great addition to the Runaway bride series. Lindsay, on the day of her wedding finds her husband with another woman, so what does she do, runs. She runs right into Myle's a music producer who is writing a book about her grandmother, country music singer. He has been trying to get the secrets from Lindsay's family. Can they fight the mutual attraction or will Myles get the secrets.

A well written story, loved the family drama. A great entertaining afternoon read.

Another great addition to the Runaway Brides series written by two superb authors of romance novels working together brilliantly!

Nervous on her high society wedding day, hair stylist Lindsey Ballard, sneaks off to see her mayoral candidate husband to be, only to catch him in an intimate moment with the person he so obviously loves. Shocked, she decides to leave the scene but she runs straight into the arms of Myles Emery, a music producer who is trying to find out more about her step gran a famous country music singer . . . Boy is their chemistry hot! He helps her escape but wants to know more about her family history, something she’s not willing to share, despite being estranged from her family.

Both lead characters have their own secrets. I was impressed by how willing Myles is to share some of his history so early on and how well developed all the characters in the story are. For a relatively short story, the authors manages to keep it well paced and pack in so many twists and turns it keeps you riveted, wanting to know what happens next. The ending was simply brilliant!

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Witty dialogue that had me smiling and chuckling made There Goes The Bride a winner for me. But this book is more than wit and a good belly laugh. It is full of sultry, sexy moments and others that tug a little bit at your heart strings. There Goes the Bride is beautifully written! The plot works well from beginning to end, the characters have a degree of depth to them that is pretty rare in novellas, the sex scenes are tastefully written, and the whole book ties together nicely. This is the third Joanna Rock Catherine Mann book that I have read, and while the other two were good, this one is the best. Read it! You won't regret your decision!

I really am enjoying this series so far with it's light-hearted feel and enough seriousness intermingled, these books are fun and enjoyable. The commom theme in this series is that they are all about weddings and something goes wrong and the bride runs away, hence the name Runaway Brides. The characters are also connected to the next female main character, so the female main character of book 1 know the female main character of book 2 and she knows the main character of book 3, but beside that there isn't much overlap. While I enjoyed this book, I enjoyed it less than the previous two books. This one was fun, but was missing that extra burst of fun the other two books had.

There Goes the Bride follows Lindsey, the hairdresser after she walks out of her own wedding and meets movie producer Myles. I didn't fully connect with the characters. I liked Lindsey, but I found Myles was more difficult to like. Lindsey is going through a difficult situation and Myles was there to harras her on her wedding, that just didn't sit right with and while he turns that down later, I still thought it felt a bit off how he was trying to unearth Lindsey her grandma's secrets.

While in the second book the female main character runs away from what she knows and back to a remote city, Lindsey actually runs back to her hometown. One of my favourite parts of this book was seeing her and her sister interact there is this huge gap between them due to something that happened 10 years ago and they start of cold and opposed, but gradually warm and become sisters again. I really liked this and how it showed at the same time how family can grow apart and how a family grow back together again. It's not entirely solved at the end, but they are making progress and I am even wondering whether Sam will have her own book as well.

While it was a sweet romance story I felt at times they moved a bit too fast, especially with how this is almost an enemies to lovers book. They are fighting with each other, but also jump in bed together. I just can't fully grasp how you can dislike and like someone at the same time like that. I also found Myles obsession with the secret a bit overdone especially with how his mother didn't even care about it. I did like how they resolved things in the end, although at the same time it made me feel like the conflict was pointless, although ofcourse they had to go through that or else they wouldn't have arrived at the conclusion they did. I guess I just didn't like the conflict. I also thought it was fun this book ended differently than the second book and left things a bit more open ended.

To conclude: this is a great series for when you're in the mood for a fun romance series. The romance moves a bit fast in this book and I wasn't a fan of the conflict and how they grew together, but it was a fun book. I enjoyed seeing Lindsey and her sister interact after years of avoiding each other. I had some trouble liking Myles at first, although he became more likeable later on in the book. All in all it's a fun series and I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Book Review: There Goes the Bride by Catherine Mann & Joanne Rock

Book 3 of the Runaway Brides Series, “There Goes the Bride” by Catherine Mann & Joanne Rock takes the readers from Atlanta to Nashville right in the heart of country music realm.

“There Goes the Bride” is Rated T for Teens.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley/Tule Publishing for an honest review. "There Goes the Bride" will have you laughing at times and other times you can feel the heartache of the characters. There are steamy sensual scenes that were done in good taste. The story has a lot of depth for a quick read. I really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading other books by Catherine Mann.

Lindsey Ballard is the square peg in the round hole in her family and enjoys being such, but she craves her family's love. Her family accuses her of knowingly sleeping with her sister's fiancé. Not true, she did sleep with him, but did not know who he was at the time, and he did not enlighten her either (the scumbag).
Lindsey is about to get married, but having second thoughts. So she breaks tradition, and goes to talk to him. She finds him with someone else and runs away before the wedding takes place.
Miles Emery is a famous record producer, but he is taking a break to write a book about Lindsey's grandmother, however he has an ulterior motive. Miles also has had bad luck in the love field, his wife cheated on him with one of his clients. So he is also wary about falling in love again.

Ms. Mann and Ms. Rock did a stupendous job writing this story. They make you fall in love with all of the characters. You will laugh, cry, and cheer for them during the read. I know I did.
Thank you Tule Publishing and NetGalley, for giving me access to this book. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for reading my review. I KNOW you will enjoy this book.

Lindsey is about to have the best day in any girls life she is just missing one important thing in the day and she needs to see her best friend and groom before the big day and feel the love there, however when she seeks him out she never thought what she finds out would ever happen. She is also hiding a family secret that she has been sworn to take to her grave when the ever present and good looking Myles Emery will not leave her alone even on her special day. Myles has one thing in mind uncovering a family secret and proving to the world the truth only problem is its not his family secret to tell or is it? He sets out to uncover things that some people just feel should be left in the past. This book is a fun and quick read lots of excitement and a bunch of chemistry between the characters. The book is not a very deep book which is great so the light heartedness of it make is a book you really find your self loss in from the beginning to the end.

There Goes the Bride is book #3 in the Runaway Brides series and it was a good addition to the series.

We first met Hair stylist Lindsey Ballard during book #2 in the series The Wedding Audition.

Lindsey is about to marry her best friend who is also Atlanta’s popular mayoral candidate but just a few hours before the wedding the discover that her fiance lied to her and he kept a big secret from her so she calls off the wedding and now she needs a getaway car in order to escape the media.

Music producer, Myles Emery came to Lindsey's wedding to try and make her talk about her step grandmother since he's writing a book about her and he's trying to uncover the country music legend–secrets not just for his book but also since he believe his mother played a bigger role as a singer and song writer that the credit she received.

Myles offer Lindsey a way to escape the media and he's hoping he'll be able to make her talk and tell him more about her grandma all the while trying to ignore the chemistry between them.

I enjoyed reading about Myles and Lindsey, the story was fast paced and the plot was interesting. I enjoyed the secondary characters and getting to read how Lindsey is trying to rebuild a real relationship with her sister after many years of not talking.

There Goes the Bride is a good novella that was fun to read

It is what is says no surprise - nothing out of place. Bride runs away from Groom (on wedding gown - in last minute - as cover shows) for good reasons on her side - bumps into stranger and falls in passinate love and desire which was missing in her fiance.... Duh! But I enjoyed it, its fast paced and doesn't dwell too much on past or feelings or future or anything else for that matter.
Grandma's secret provides a good twist and I liked it is predicated and over soon.
Overall if you are looking for light romantic read - go for it.

I was given a copy of this book by Net Gallery in exchange for a honest review but I will buy this series anyways. Thanks Net gallery for giving me 2 new authors to read.

There Goes the Bride (Runaway Brides Book 3) by Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock is part of a series that keeps getting better and better. While this is still somewhat of a celebrity story, reality TV is nowhere in the picture. Instead Lindsey Ballard, hair stylist that was in book 2, is trying to play down her country music heritage. Like Lindsey, I was glad that the truth was found before the wedding instead of afterwards. Still my heart went out to this bride, so early on she had me on her side.

The story starts on Lindsey’s to-be-wedding-day, just an hour or so before the start. The nerves and emotions that go into the whole getting married event and then the shock of discovery which leads to her escape are so clearly conveyed in this story. I think that would sum it up, it is an emotional read, not teary eyed but a feeling of empathy. It was difficult for me to see how a happily ever after was going to be achieved for her, especially with her family.

When Myles Emery jumps in to help there is no doubt that he has his own agenda. I wanted to dislike him as his character grew on Lindsey, so he did for me too. The twist at the end deals more with Lindsey’s relationship with her sister than with Myles. By then I did expect Myles and Lindsey to get together. Well done with that bit of a surprise. Also while some may find the ending to vague I thought it was perfect for these two who have been burned in the past.

Net Galley provided a copy.

I loved this book. I joined Netgalley and this is the first book that I chose to review, and boy am I happy I did.

I started reading There Goes the Bride yesterday afternoon and hated to put it down.

Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock wrote a truly entertaining tale of what happens when a bride, who finds out that what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life isn't to be meets the man who is determined to expose one of her family's hidden secrets.

This was posted on Amazon as well as Goodreads which linked to my facebook account

an easy and quick read - a nice easy read for summer - I enjoyed this book, and only wished it were a bit more detailed on a few parts. For example: the relationship with her sister Sam, and the past relationship with Beau. Minor. Overall, I would reccommend this story if you like a little romance, a little country, and a little southern background. Fun.

Lindsey Ballard is the black sheep of her family, shunning Nashville society and moving to Atlanta to start over. Hoping to calm her wedding jitters, she walks in on her fiance and best friend sharing an emotional moment with someone he loves more than her. As she is processing this, she runs into the man she is trying to avoid, Myles Emery, who is hell-bent on exposing her family's secret in his book. When he offers her the best option for fleeing, she takes it, hoping to keep him at arm's length until she can get to her family and rally them to protect the secret. Unfortunately, heading home to Nashville and her family presents its own set of problems. As she deals with her very angry sister, her perfectionist Mom, and chemistry with the man she should be avoiding, Lindsey has to figure out what her life is now, after jilting the favored Atlanta mayoral candidate.
This was a fun story. It is the third in the series, but while they are connected by a character, there isn't anything that prevents this from being a solid stand-alone story. The characters were fun and interesting, adding depth to Lindsey's character as they interact. Myles has his own reasons for trying to get someone, anyone, in Lindsey's family to confirm what he thinks is the secret. Both main characters have enough hurt in their past to make them wary of fully trusting anyone.
Novella length, this is a quick enjoyable read with humor, a fun setting, and interesting characters, The chemistry is good, but it isn't rushed as they deal with their secrets and trust issues.

There goes the Bride, is a quick , fun read. It has humor and heartache, it reads like a country music song! I enjoyed reading Lindsey and Myles story. A great addition to The Runaway Bride Series. I really enjoyed reading this book!

It's Lindsey's wedding day and she just wants to see her groom one more time before the ceremony as a reassurance. On her way to find him, she runs into Myles Emery, a music producer who wants to run an expose on her beloved grandmother. To make matters worse, she finds that her husband-to-be isn't meant to be. She ends up making a quick escape with the assistance of Myles. The chemistry between them is like nothing Lyndsey has never experienced. As he keeps on digging, he can't help but start feeling guilty as he gets closer to Lyndsey.
I really enjoyed getting to know Lindsey as she moved towards a new appreciation of her family and a life she could have. Myles is very determined. He's on a mission to get his mother the recognition she doesn't want when his course leads him to Linsdey. During the course of the book, Myles goes through a bit of self-realization that helps him to grow and make the right decisions.
I really enjoyed this book. It was pretty light-hearted and a quick read. I would recommend it for anyone that enjoys this genre.

There Goes the Bride

Runaway Brides Series - Book 3

By Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock

Tule Publishing - May 2015

Contemporary Romance

Lindsey Ballard hadn't expected to call off her wedding, but she also hadn't expected to find her fiance in the arms of another. He had been her best friend, her dream come true, and now she was living another nightmare, and her only hope was an author hoping to do a tell all book on a beloved relative.

Myles Emory intended to write about music legend Lara Kane. He knew that there was more to her story than the world knew, but there were a few who could give key insights to Lara. One of them being her step granddaughter, Lindsey. He intended to try to get some time alone to interview Lindsey, but he never expected to help her in her get-away from her own wedding.

Settling back in Nashville as the Lara Kane Festival was set to begin, Lindsey had difficulties avoiding simply everything. She'd left Nashville to avoid her family, and nothing screamed being back home than fighting with your family. Then there was Myles. He was on a mission to find the truth about his mother's own place in history, a truth that could destroy a legacy. And a truth that could destroy the growing attraction between a runaway bride and a recent divorce. Two individuals recently wronged in love who were on opposite sides of a fight but now were falling in love.

There Goes the Bride is the third installment of the Runaway Brides series by authors Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock. Full of humor, There Goes the Bride is a fast paced romance full of colorful characters and a dash of mystery. What was this truth that Myles was trying to uncover, that his own mother didn't want revealed? And why was it so important to him that he would risk this new relationship growing between himself and Lindsey? I could somewhat understand Lindsey's reluctance to reveal the truth, but I did find it odd for Lara to have burdened her grandchildren with this knowledge. As with all stories I've read by either Ms Mann or Ms Rock, I truly enjoyed it.

This was a cute romance. I enjoyed the book, it was cute, funny & had just the right amount of drama. Lindsey is running away from the wedding she thought would change her life. Myles is looking for information for his book that will expose her famous grandmother & bring more recognition to his own mother. Myles helps Lindsey sneak away hoping to get some inside scoops but ends up falling for her instead. Can these 2 people who have both lost at the love game in previous relationships make the chemistry between them work or will they be doomed by the fact that they're at odds about this book that Myles is writing? Will the truth set either of them free or will it bring more sadness into their lives? I liked this book enough that I'm going to look for the others in this series seeing as I started another series on book #3. Definitely recommend for a good read.
