Typical but cute story, as long as you don't expect this book to be the next great America novel any reader should enjoy it. A perfectly pleasant "beach book" that I would absolutely recommend to others to read.

I really enjoyed this book. The thing I enjoyed most was it was not drawn out. I love books that jump right to the point. No long drawn out tale of how each character came to be the way they are. This book just filled it in on the way. Also, a boss/employee story is usually quite good. This one did not let me down! It's fast paced. It has just the right amount of drama. a strong willed female lead (which is awesome) and great chemistry.

I really liked the story and felt it moved along well. I think this would be an easy recommendation for someone looking for a good quick summer read.

4.5 Stars!

I enjoyed this book. Let's be honest . . . we all love the classic billionaire romance where you can start reading and get swept off of your feet into a world of high class and fine dining. This book was definitely that stereotype but had a few twists to keep you on your toes.

This book was really good. It was sweet, sexy, suspenseful, funny, and had a few twists and turns along the way. I devoured this book in one sitting and instantly started book two. This is a new author to me but has been added to my future TBR lists for sure.

This is Sam and April's story. Sam and April are employee and employer. Not only that, but they have developed a nice friendship. But when she overhears a conversation that devastates her, she decides that she has to make drastic changes in her life, but as this happens not everything is as it seems. Sam relies on April and trusts her so when she abandons him and goes to work for his father, he is blindsided. Torn between loyalty, friendship, and deception, they will have to work together to navigate and find out the truth. And along the way, they may just discover love.

I liked April. She was sassy, strong, feisty and did not let the crap Sam spewed at her get to her. She was strong in the sense that she stood up for herself. I liked Sam but only towards the end. I thought he was such a coward in the beginning but he also had to realize what April mean to him. This was a slower build romance that was believable between them. But by the end, I was rooting for him to get the girl and his company.

I recommend this book.

April is Sam's administrative assistant and has been for six years. She's also had a thing for him just as long but he's clueless. She overhears Sam and his model girlfriend talking about letting her go, so she quits instead. Who should offer her a job the very next day but Sam's father. The same man that has ruined things for Sam his whole life. Will Sam be able to talk April into coming back or is it too late?

Sam never really saw April as a beautiful woman until she was gone. Too late! April may seem a little quirky but she's smart and business savvy and Sam wants her back for more than just his assistant. Annabelle is an unexpected character. She has a beautiful outlook on life and has adapted well. All the characters are great and well rounded that steadily grow throughout the book. Very well written. A fantastic read! I can't wait for book 2 in the Billionaires in the City series.

COPY RECEIVED COUTEY OF NETGALLEY This a standalone HEA billionaire romance. April is a college student that is working for Sam Hunt, billionaire with daddy isues. In the beginning he does not see April as a romantic interest. He remembers her as the dowdy college student that first comes to work for him. Over the years, April has changed, but Sam really takes her for granted. He does not realize his feelings until April leaves. Typical office romance but still entertaining.
