When he was twenty his father wanted Sheikh Ashim Al Raquar, Crown Prince of Alzaquan, to marry but agreed that he could have ten years before doing so. That time is now up and he has been told to return home by his father, the King. Ashim is not happy so intends partying his way home.

Emily had married around ten years ago but on honeymoon he’d had a horrific accident which had left him more like a child rather than husband. She’d worked as a commercial flight attendant during that time but now relished her new job as a freelance corporate flight attendant, a job she’s been doing since her husband’s death almost a year ago. For the first time in almost a decade she’s working with her old friend, Cathy. After landing at Cannes, Cathy gets Emily to go out to a concert and it is here that she meets Ashim, unaware that he’s actually a prince. To find out what happens next, you’ll just have to read the book!

This is a well written royal addition to the series, with well developed characters and plenty of unexpected twist before they reach their HEA. The conflicting demands of their roles and his parental expectations make this an interestingly different story, one that will certainly appeal to those who'll appreciate Emily's devotion, angst and turmoil at this, her second chance at finding true love.

Bound to the Sheikh is a decently written and professionally edited short romance novel.

A widowed private airline stewardess serves the prince of a small (but wealthy) mid eastern country. They fall instantly in love much to the chagrin of his father, the king.

The characters are well developed, but I had a problem with the formulaic plot. I have read books with this exact plot many times in the past. I think that whether a reader will enjoy this book depends on what they are looking for: originality or something comfortable and familiar.

Short, quick read and very interesting. Ashim and Emily meet on the beach and become enthralled with each other. They embark on a steamy affair and begin to have feelings deeper than a one night stand. Things get a little complicated towards the end when things come to light. Will they stay together or will certain things keep them apart? You will have to read to find out.

I was given a copy by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

After ten years of freedom, Sheikh Ashim has been summoned back to his country to prepare to take over as ruler. He has lived a wonderful life as a carefree playboy and plans to take his time going home. When he meets Emily he decides one more fun fling is exactly what he needs. Emily has lived a very reserved life but after meeting Ashim, she decides that one let loose weekend is exactly what she needs.

Great story that is wonderfully written with strong characters and a great storyline. I would recommend this one.

A shy lonely widow. An arrogant playboy Sheikh. Drawn to each other from the first time they spot each other on a beach, Emily and Ashim know they have no future together. He is destined to marry for the sake of his title and she is breaking free of the constraints of an unhappy marriage. Bound by the Sheikh was an intriguing opposites attract story. Although it started out somewhat slow, I was quickly captivated by this complicated unlikely love story. Received an ARC for an honest review.

I don’t recall reading Carol Marinelli before, but “Bound To The Sheikh” is one of most surprising and captivating read I’ve read in recent times. Transcending boundaries and continents, this is an emotional and charming story of a widow, finding second love and a passion that seems boundless.

Having lost her invalid husband very recently, Emily finally gets back into her profession as a corporate flight attendant, a career that she enjoys a lot. But having tended to her invalid husband for the past eight years, she has lost herself in the pain and tribulations of taking care of him until his death. And now finally she wants to let go of her past, and enjoy the colors of life that just seems to be on the horizon…and the horizon delivers Sheikh Ashim, Crown Prince of Alzaquan.

Sheikh Ashim, the charming prince, the heartbreaker and the ultra savvy, super rich soon to be king, is totally taken in by Emily and her beauty. Wanting to leave his playboy days behind and find a wife, Emily seems to fill his heart with happiness and warmth that he wants to have forever. But with cultural boundaries and customs becoming a hurdle, Sheikh Ashim needs to play his cards well to please his father and make Emily his wife.

Carol Marinelli has done a fabulous job crafting a beautiful story of Emily as the widow trying to move on with her life, and embrace the moments of companionship and passion that has been missing in her life. There are so many instances in the story that touches your heart and makes you feel the pain and insecurities that Emily is feeling. And Ashim, despite his royalty is a smooth gentleman and has enough empathy and love for Emily to lend an ear and shoulder, and ultimately bound Emily to him, forever.

Sheikh Ashin Al Raquar was Crown Prince of Alzaquan. Emily and Cathy had completed their flight attendant academy together 10yrs ago. Emily was now a widow. Cathy worked for an acclaimed private jet operator. Emily usually avoided the beach. Emily had lost herself and didn't know where to find herself again. Stephan had been her husband and her first and only lover.
Emily was a strong woman, stayed true to her husband even when he ended up with the brain of a child. She was true. I enjoyed the portrayal of her character. Ashin was arrogant to a degree. He had plans for his country and he would be a good ruler. Yet he took a stand and won in the end. This was a good book. I enjoyed the plot and story. It was very enjoyable. I recommend it.

A lovely romance set in rich and exotic locations that you can really picture whilst reading. Sexy, handsome and carefree Sheik Ashim who must return home to return to his country and his duties. . He decides to have a last wild fling to remember before he leaves, and meets by chance Emily, a young widow who is trying to move on from a very traumatic past. When Ashim and Emily meet the sparks fly and an unexpected but passionate romance ensues. The best part of this novella occurs when the two realise that they love each other and cannot be apart despite the huge differences in their lives and cultures. I really liked the way that Emily balanced out Ashim's harshness and bossiness and how Ashim challenged Emily to take a chance on the future. For a short novella the story seemed longer and was very well put together. A great read.

Bound to the Sheikh was a good read. The story is about a woman who finally goes outside the box of what is her normal behavior for her and spends the night with a stranger. A night grows into forever. They have to jump some hurdles to get their HEA of course, but they do finally get it. This was a short read, but a love at first sight kind of one. I received this book as an ARC from the publisher and NetGalley.

This was a good story. I can't imagine being a young caretaker and a widow before the age of thirty. It is nice to see that she has a chance at forever.

After reading the book blurb, it gives you a pretty good idea that there is going to be some hot things going on between Ashim and Emily. He was kind of drawn to Emily because she was different but I think he still thought she would be another one night stand. She went into it also thinking she wanted to be brave and go for what she wanted for a change; but also thought it would be for just one night. Their wild night turns into two with both of them trying to deny that they wanted more. Of course there is a huge blowup of misunderstanding that causes things to change in an unpleasant way. They have plenty of challenges awaiting them. One of those is his formidible old-fashioned rigid father, The King. The King wants rules and the old ways, not wanting to budge one bit and his plans do NOT include Emily. Ashim wants not only Emily but a blending of the Old Ways with some of the more modern ways, to benefit his beloved country. There is a HEA and an epilogue (which I always like).

This book is about a poor (not so) little rich boy and a grieving widow. A story of how they meet under circumstances that seem like coincidences. Ashim is a Crown prince who has avoided his responsibilities for 10 years but has now been summoned home. Emily is a corporate flight attendant and has recently lost her husband of 8 years who was rendered disabled after a skiing accident on their honeymoon. Ashim is looking for excuses to delay his return and Emily is the perfect distraction. Emily just wants to live again, be free again, feel again and Ashim is the perfect cure. But in spite of their diverging lives they've got a chance at something, but it is more than they bargained for.

The International Bad Boys have been a hit for me since day one. I haven't read them all, and there's no need to follow any kind of order, but I will get to them all sooner or later!
This is the story of Emily, a recent widow, and Ashim, our very own Crown Prince! Now Ashim has been flirting along for the last decade doing everything humanly possible to avoid his 'responsibilities' back home, but the time has come to grow-up and man-up. But Ashim is NOT leaving his life behind to go home without a fight LOL and he finds the perfect distraction in our beautiful flight attendant, Emily! Emily recently lost her husband of 8 years and wants nothing more that to escape reality!
Match made in heaven .... don't ya think?! SO, they share a few sexy times that don't end so well because hey, that's life! But those sexy times are oh so hot and steamy! Ashim has some serious moves going on in the bedroom which is just what the doctor ordered for Emily.
But will attraction be enough? Can two worlds/people from polar opposite world come together and live HEA?
It's a short sexy read .... why don't you give it a try and let me now?!

'Bound to the Sheikh' by Carol Marinelli was a heart touching quick read.
The author's main characters, Emily, a widow now working as a corporate flight attendant, and Ashim, a royal crown prince, meet in France and spend two hot nights (and a day) together. A misunderstanding occurs, but is resolved. Their love is then tested when they seek to get married in the prince's homeland and their desire clashes with tradition. I loved the ending of the story and recommend this story as a very good read.

Another Carol Marinelli winner!

This is the first in a series which looks quite promising; International Bad Boys, each story written by a different author. This first story, from Carol Marinelli was fun and flirty. It was a fast read, with a rather predictable plot. I did enjoy the story, it was well written. The characters were engaging and the setting beautifully detailed. I'll be interested in where the next author takes readers.

Bound To The Sheikh is a perfect quick Saturday afternoon read. I zipped through it in a couple of hours and really enjoyed reading it. The story is fast paced, sexy and yet also quite touching. My only complaint really is that several times through the book I came across incorrect sentence structures. It was as though it had been written in a different language then translated into English. In a way though, that led to the exotic feel of the book so it helped set the scene. Recommended!

I found this a good read. A little sexy, a little complication and a big happy ending. I'm always partial to books that have a happy ending. I would recommend this to a romance reader.

Love Ashim and Emily's love story. Emily is a widow who decides to start living again after her husband's death. Sheik Ashim is a playboy looking for a good time until he meets Emily. Their new found love is threaten by a secret and his country's traditions. Love prevails. Loved the story.

Ashim and Emily are from two different worlds but can a one night fling bring them together forever. Emily is a flight attendant, who has has a tragic past and is looking for a night of fun. Ashim needs to find a find a suitably princess to marry, to his dad likings. Emily is not that girl, but Ashim wants to make it work.
I so enjoyed this fast paced story and fell in love with these characters. I highly recommend this for an evening of reading.

Quick sweet romance. I like the idea of a young caretaker and a widow before the age of thirty. It is nice to see that she has a chance at forever.

Bound to the Sheikh form the International Bad Boys Series, could also be titled The Playboy Prince and the Young Widow. That pretty much sums up this story by Carol Marinelli. It is an appealing well written story with the charismatic prince and the flight attendant who is trying to find her way after caring and losing her extremely ill husband.

It’s a short and quick read which didn’t give enough time for me to connect with both characters. Emily is the easier of the two to get to know. Her past is cheerless but her outlook on life is the opposite cheerful. I like her from the very beginning. The Sheikh Ashim is arrogant dare I say egotistical at times. To think that he would fall for a corporate flight attendant is pure fantasy, well done fantasy but fantasy none the less.

3.75 stars

Ashim has had his ten years of freedom to do as he pleased. Now it’s time to return home and take up the mantle of his country, and to take a wife. In his time away Ashim has done good things, he has also partied hard and long. This is his voyage home and he is squeezing every last minute of freedom on his way to the duties that await him at home.

Emily has spent most of her marriage taking care of her husband after an horrific accident changed their lives forever. Now that her husband has passed away, Emily is free to find out exactly who she is now. She returns to a career she loves as a corporate flight attendant. What she didn’t expect was Ashim and the freedom of enjoying this man. What she didn’t expect was wanting more beyond the weekend they had planned.

Bound to the Sheikh was a sexy, steamy, intense and joyful story of love found in unexpected places. Ashim and Emily were the perfect match, they each needed more from life and found that in each other. There is definitely a cultural fight to finally grab their happy ever after but the journey there is so worth your time.

I would highly recommend this novel. You don’t have to love billionaires or sheikhs to see the love that is simply overflowing in this story. Not everyone has a perfect life, reality often sneaks in with some bad stuff, but the human heart can overcome just about anything – and love can come at any moment. Pick this one up and enjoy Emily and Ashim’s love story.

*I received an e-ARC of Bound to the Sheikh from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

Bound to the Sheikh has everything I like about a Carol Marinelli story. She delivers an exotic locale, strong alpha, an unlikely matched heroine, and a satisfying happily ever after. I liked Ashim right off and while I might not have been convinced about Emily when we are introduced to her, I was turning the pages for that moment.

I'm always looking for the next Carol Marinelli romance, can't wait to read what comes next.

Who hasn't had fantasies of being with a sheikh? Emily and Ashim are from to different cultures yet come together for what should be a wild night. Not everything in life can be planned out, and that makes it have a great adventure to the end.

Ashim, the Crown Prince of Alzaquan, meets Emily, a corporate flight attendant in the south of France. Both are not looking for love, only it finds them anyway. This story was more of a novella- a really short one -, but it had a proper arc with a beginning, middle and ending. Carol Marinelli is one of my top one-click authors as she never fails to deliver a roaring read. I enjoyed this one and recommend it if you need something light and uncomplicated.
