Description
ACTION-PACKED SCIENCE FICTION ADVENTURE
A GOD’S REDEMPTION IN A UNIVERSE ON FIRE
Life isn’t easy for 18-year-old Isabella. After all, there’s an alien god trapped inside her. Either Paradise Moon won’t shut up, or she’s taking control of Isabella’s body.
Worse, the Empress of the Known Galaxies is hunting Isabella. Before the Empress died, no one was more dangerous. Now she’s dead, she’s insufferable. Hundreds of her clones are burning down the Known Galaxies in a civil war hot enough to hurt anyone protecting Isabella.
Talyn’s arrival on Earth changes everything for Isabella. Like her, he has a power that comes from an alien god trapped inside him. But Talyn is on a mission to resurrect millions of synthetic aliens killed by the Empress. Aliens who were once abandoned and left to die by Paradise Moon long ago.
Paradise Moon’s shot at redemption is Isabella’s chance to find out if she's the hero everyone thinks she is.

Fun fantasy, for adults and older teens/YA with lots of humour, especially between Isabella and her alien riding (no, God, as we are reminded a lot, humorously) Paradise Moon. Lots of battles, with many deaths and the removal of many body parts - but that’s to be expected from book one. (Read that first or you may be a bit lost.) The author isn’t careful with the characters at all, get used to it. Great second book to complete the duology. Thank you to Rob Birks and NetGalley for the ARC. Just finished it. Almost had tears - I mean... dust, totally dust - in my eyes.
This was quite a good sequel and I suppose ending to the duology, it definitely felt a bit longer than the first book, but wow.
It has as many twists and turns as Isabella and Moon switched control.
If you enjoy sci-fi and... hero shit, then this is a book for you. (Definitely read the first one, Vanishing Girl, first though!)
