Description
There once was a town where nothing ever happened—until, one day, it did.
Corinthia, the librarian of Shadow Ridge, doesn’t fall for mysterious strangers. She doesn’t go for long walks in the woods. And she most certainly does not believe in magic.
She has her books, her rescued hound, and her Cabinet of Chocolate—everything she needs for a cozy evening alone, thank you very much.
But when a bet with her best friend leads to a hike in the maze-like nature preserve behind the Shadow Ridge Library, she meets a mysterious woman who challenges everything she thought she knew about her town, her destiny, and her heart.
She doesn’t believe in magic… but magic believes in her.
A Note From the Publisher
A Nest of Magic is a low stakes, no spice cozy fantasy with a sapphic romance and a heartwarming happily-ever-after, perfect for fans of The Phoenix Keeper!

I really enjoyed getting to read this book, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed in this type of book. It uses the fantasy element in a unique way and enjoyed the overall experience of this book. Kate Moseman writes a strong world and characters that I cared about and was engaged from start to finish. I'm glad I got to read this and am excited to read more from Kate Moseman.

This book was so cute, and sweet, and romantic. I loved all of the characters, especially Coranthia. I relate to her so much. I especially love that the story takes place in Florida, as a native Floridian myself. The plot was fun, the characters and their development are great, and I would love to see this continue as a series of this magical version of our world.
Corinthia normally avoids the outdoors and sticks to her library, but one day she ventures out after encountering a interesting woman and she begins to feel an unexpected connection to the forest that starts calling to her and leading her to Rosemary at night.
(I received this as a arc)

This charming, cozy fantasy follows Corinthia, a librarian who thrives on order and routine, content with her quiet life and a sweet hound by her side. But when a simple bet leads her into the mysterious woods behind the library, she encounters a woman and a magic that upends everything she thought she knew about her town and herself. I loved watching Corinthia’s journey from skepticism to wonder, as she learns to embrace the untamed magic in her own backyard and discovers an unexpected romance along the way.

Thank you NetGalley and the author for providing me with an eARC of this book *all thoughts and opinions are my own*
This book is set in a small town with a refuge for animals in the middle of it. A librarian goes for a walk through the refuge and interesting things start happening.
This was a sweet feel good book that I enjoyed!
I liked the characters and felt connected to them, the romance was really cute and the friendships in the book were great to read about.
I liked that it explored relationships between different groups of people. I also like that is was sapphic without making it a big thing.
The dog was adorable and getting his POV was amazing! The birds were also amazing and getting involved 😂
My only criticism of this book is that it felt too short and could have explored more!
Overall I would recommend this book.

In this story, we follow a librarian who has not really given love a chance as of late and has become interested in a library patron who leaves her very curious. Her supportive best friend encourages her to just talk to the mysterious lady, and in doing so, even more mystery is unleashed. This is an adorable cozy read where magical happenings do not only exist in books. If you are looking for a lighthearted mystical cozy romance, this might just be the book for you.

A cosy sapphic story set over Halloween and the beginning of November, and is absolutely perfect for snug nights in! It's so sweet and charming, it's easy to get lost in the story - and you can absolutely read this in one sitting (as I did) wrapped under a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate (as Corinthia would 100% approve of!)
I absolutely loved Corinthia and Stevies friendship, their dialogue was funny flowed so well! It was never jarring and felt like a real conversation. The relationship that unfolds is based on curiousity, kindness, and a willingness to be open. The story was very easy to follow and really is a perfect fantasy romance with no spice!
I also loved Beauforts chapter, and I will definitely be trying this hot choc recipe provided at the end ☺️
Thank you to Netgalley, Kate Moseman, and Victory Editing for this ARC! 🖤

Corinthia is a librarian, she’s a stickler for rules, and she’s a bit grumpy. One day, while working, she sees a beautiful woman come in dressed in blue and silver, that’s Rosemary. Rosemary is sunshine personified, kind of quirky and very curious, almost child like. That same afternoon, Corinthia ventures into the environmental reserve for a hike, to settle a bet with Stevie her best friend, and feels an unexplainable connection to it, so much so that it begins to invade her home in many ways.
I think this book is literally the definition of cozy fantasy. It’s not my preferred genre but I actually enjoyed it. The entire book felt very magical. There is clear chemistry between the main characters, and even the secondary characters are well developed. The small town vibe of the whole book was really lovely.
Overall, it’s a short and cute, easy read.
Thank you to Kate Moseman and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-Op for providing me with an eArc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Really loved the writing style was perfect for the setting! all characters were well done and left no room for disappointment. the romance was sweet and heart warming

This was such a charming and cozy fantasy! Kate Moseman creates a magical small-town world that feels both whimsical and grounded, with characters I truly cared about—especially Corinthia, who I found so relatable. I loved the mix of romance, friendship, and community, as well as the unique fantasy elements that made the story stand out. The Florida setting was a fun touch, and the animal refuge (plus that adorable dog POV!) added so much warmth. The sapphic romance was sweet and natural, and I appreciated how it blended seamlessly into the story. My only wish is that it had been longer, since I didn’t want to leave this world. Overall, a delightful, feel-good read that left me excited for more from Kate Moseman!

Note to self, get a Cabinet of Chocolate before indulging in this delightful book.

Let me just start with saying this book was just as witty and cozy as it was truly magic.
If you want a funny, yet real feeling cozy fantasy romance to read this fall that will make you laugh and warm your heart I highly recommend this book. It was a nice comfort read the low stakes and the bookish atmosphere along with the fluffy heart warming love story. This stand alone fantasy romance is the perfect book for a night of cozy magical fall reading.
Reading through the twist and turns of this book showing that for our main character Cornithia not everything is as it seems and the small town she has lived in is crawling with magic beyond her wildest imagination, that she has not yet let her self believe in. We follow her story through her growth challenging what she has known learning of the nature and magic around her, Challenging rules she has set out for herself, and doing it all for love.
I would like to give a thanks for reciving this as a ARC as I have always wanted to read and review ARCs. This is the first one I was ever approved for so it will always hold a special place within my heart and on my book shelf once it is out for purchase ^^.
