**This book was provided by Rock Star Lit PR, via NetGalley, for my review and enjoyment. Thanks!

3.5 fun stars!

You'll like this book if: You enjoy some humor with your European sexies. :)

THE STORY: Recently cheated on by her douchebag ex-boyfriend, Gemima heads to Paris and starts a new awesome job as an interior designer. She immediately falls for dreamboat Logan, and the two set out on a Parisian- style love fest.

MY THOUGHTS: This was a fun story. I haven't read anything like it in quite awhile! The author wasted no time in introducing us to the lead characters, which got the book off on a fast track. She wrote this story with humor and wit, and included some seriously FUNNY dialogue! The following is just a taste:

"...the material of his suit gives nothing away as to what hangs there. The suit is discreet, as it should be I think, but yet I try- and believe me, I do try- to will the material to show me something. It does not. I am left wanting. I'm such a perve!"

Right?!? Seriously funny!! I adore an author that can literally make me laugh out loud, to which Annabel Fanning succeeded. Another way- cool part of this book was having each chapter named after a specific song. Totally hip, modern and fun. I likey. I also liked Paris as a back-drop, and the author's style of not using too many French words as to confuse us.

There were 2 main struggles that I encountered while reading. One was my lack of connection to the characters. I never felt myself form a deep bond to either Gemima or Logan. I couldn't even picture them in my head, which resulted in a big disconnect for me. I would have loved some more descriptions of Gemima physically- what she looks like, what she wears, etc. Anything to have given me a better idea of whom I'm reading about. I believe this was the catalyst to the disjunction I felt between the two as a couple, as well. I just didn't feel it. I didn't feel romance or an actual loving bond between them which bummed me out. Also missing from the story was a point of intrigue- a mystery of some sorts. Something to break up the monotony. Perhaps that's coming in part 2? Hopefully!

You can see from my rating though, that it was overall a good read. The humor and downright funny language saved it for me. I'm really curious to see what happens in part 2, which releases soon!

When I picked up She to read, I thought the book was going to be completely different than what I was expecting. When I started to read the book, She, I was expecting a book full of feminist power. However, that’s not what I got and it took me a few days after finishing the book and mulling over it to decide whether or not I liked it.
I liked it. I thoroughly liked it and will be reading She (Part II) as well. I enjoyed the relationship that started basically right from page 1 between Gemima and Logan. Logan is a good guy. Gemima has just come from a breakup from her ex Jerry who she caught cheating with at a holiday party. Logan, Gemima, and Jerry all run in the same business circles because she’s an interior designer and the two gentlemen are developers. The book is basically about Gemima finding someone who loves her for who she is and because of that can make her a better person. Isn’t that what we all want?
I wouldn’t have entitled the book She…maybe…Him…or Them. That definitely threw me for a loop and I wanted to know more about who Gemima was outside of Logan and Jerry and in that regards, I feel like that is where the book got lost.
I hope She (Part II) gives me the background and growth from Gemima that I was looking for in this novel.

First, Logan and Gemima's chemistry was HOT. Gemima is outspoken and feisty which is the type of "heroine" that I like to read about. However, I felt that the characters needed to be developed a little more. I didn't feel a STRONG connection to them like I had hoped for. I'll definitely read book 2 and maybe some of my questions will be answered then along with more character development.

SHE part 1 by Annabel Fanning is a book about Logan and Gemima and it is basically a get to know them. Logan and Gemima met in the past but Gemima didn't know she had caught Logans eye. He kept a watch out and when she broke it off with her boyfriend he pounced. He had fallen hard for her that night 2 years ago. He was a bad boy growing up and had been arrested several times, but since his family was well known he was always let go. Then, one day he was finally given some tough love.

In response to the tough love, his eyes were eventually opened and he got himself clean and sober. He slowly built the company of his dreams and was headed on the right track.

While attending college Gemima met her boyfriend and together they moved to Paris. Unfortunately, she was working a boring job and hadn’t truly found happiness. It didn’t help matters that during a company get together her boyfriend betrayed her, opening her eyes to the fact that something needed to change. In the hopes of moving forward, she got a new job that she really liked and ran into Logan. During a lunch together sparks began to fly and the chemistry was high. Concerned that it was too quick to have feelings she was put at ease by the realization that Logan shared in those feelings.

Her ex Jerry, tries to win her back, creating chaos in the process but it doesn’t sway her newfound relationship with Logan.

Annabel Fanning writes a book filled with steamy sex scenes that most will enjoy. The book seemed a little slow paced and I would have liked it to have a little more depth but overall I felt it was a good book.

It's the first book I read of the author, and I really liked her way to narrate. The story is funny and romantic. The chemistry between the main characters is amazing and sexy scenes are very well worked. No doubt I'll be on the trail of new titles written by Annabel Fanning.
