Description
Kyrea isn’t your typical adventurer — she’s immortal!
She can pull magical items from books, open portals to distant realms, and makes friends wherever she goes. Kyrea has spent centuries exploring enchanted worlds and discovering secrets lost to time.
Today, a curious dragon named Arlo has chosen to follow her into the unknown. Together, they travel to lost kingdoms, restore ancient magic, and unravel long-forgotten mysteries.
Their shared quest begins with a set of enchanted papers, leading them to an ogre world where Kyrea trades alchemy gold for a princess’s diary. This leads them into the realm of giants, fairies and beyond. Every adventure, they inch closer to the secret of Kyrea’s immortality… and the one who gave that gift.
Join Kyrea and Arlo on a cozy-fantasy quest of friendship, wonder and boundless adventure. Where every page is a gateway, and every step reveals a new world.

What a cute little story of friendship and belonging together. I love this- children need these kinds of books, and adults too.
This was a strong start to the Immortal Explorer series, it had that element that I was looking for and was engaged with what was happening. I enjoyed this as a opening chapter and am excited to read more in this universe. The characters had that overall feel that I was wanting and enjoyed the genre. I was invested in what was happening with Kyrea and how she was used to tell the story. Kathleen J. Shields wrote this well and was engaged from the first page, I hope to read more from Kathleen J. Shields and this world.
