Description
Welcome to Weatherstone College...
Don’t walk the halls late at night.
Don’t disturb the ancient magic.
And don’t, under any circumstances, ever trust a spellcaster.
When my magic bloomed at twenty-two, the last thing I expected was to receive an acceptance letter to the most prestigious witch college in the world. It’s not that I don’t have magic, it’s just...unpredictable, but with Weatherstone a part of my family legacy, I’m determined to live up to their expectations.
A task that’s almost derailed on my very first day when I come face-to-face with Logan Kingston. As the son of my father’s enemy, I’m warned to avoid the powerful spellcaster at all costs, but apparently Logan did not receive the same memo. The more time I spend around him, the more I crave his unsettling attention, and as hate flirts with obsession, I’m left wondering if there’s another side to the decades old feud between our fathers.
On top of that, Weatherstone is not at all like I expected. Built on the ancient blood of necromancers and battle, the magic here is as unpredictable as mine, and I sense a dark energy stalking my footsteps. When a monster attacks me, I have no choice but to turn to the strongest warlock in our school: Logan.
Afterall, to fight a monster, I’ll need a monster.

I AM SO MAD!
WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME ON A CLIFFHANGER LIKE THAT????
The ending has left me with complete and utter emotional turmoil, I couldn't put this book down, from the start to the end. You completely captivated me with Paisley and Logans story. I need more, so much more.

I honestly devoured this book. Like, once I started, there was no way I was putting it down. It gave me total Harry Potter mixed with Zodiac Academy vibes and I was hooked straight away.
What I loved most was Paisley herself. Finally a main character who actually has a supportive, loving family around her. It felt so refreshing and wholesome, and then on top of that she's got her best friends who are the definition of ride-or-die. It made me care about her even more.
Then there's Logan... the whole "childhood friends turned enemies turned ???" thing had me absolutely living. He's broody, probably a little bit dangerous, and the chemistry between him and Paisley was just chef's kiss. I was smiling, kicking my feet, rolling my eyes at them in the best way.
The magic, the mystery, the monsters, the little twists-it just worked! The pacing was quick without feeling rushed, and the worldbuilding gave me enough to feel grounded without overloading me. And then that cliffhanger... I swear, my jaw actually dropped. I need book two like yesterday.
This was such a fun, addictive read and an easy from me.
4.5 stars!
This book was everything I wanted plus more.
Paisley is a witch who gets accepted to the most prestigious magic school, Weatherstone College. She is looking forward to finally unlocking her magic and learning what kind of witch she will be.
Her dad, who is a professor at Weatherstone panics and tries to get her to leave on her very first day all because spellcaster Logan Kingston has enrolled at the college too.
Turns out the Kingstons have a major beef with Paisley's family and they are convinced that Logan transferred there to do her harm.
When monsters cone inyo the scene and seem to be gunning for her it seems like her dad may have had the right idea.
I kept telling myself "one more chapter" and then something would happen and I would need to keep reading to get to the next part. It kept happening, so eventually I just stopped halfway down a page so that I could get some adulting done. I went straight back to the book as soon as I could.
I loved the school, the relationships Paisley made with her classmates and the deep bond she had with her family. Of course I also loved how much she despised Logan even though she thought he was a hottie.
The slow burn/enemies to lovers was perfection.
The ending took me by surprise and I'm very much looking forward to the next book.
