This is a beautiful book both in terms of the detailed illustrations of the Arctic Ocean and the creatures who live there as well as in the message of conservation the book shares. Told through the perspective of the Great Bear, readers are shown what damage humans have done to the North as well as what can be done to repair it. This book is probably too advanced for my 4 year old but might be appropriate for ages 5-8. I would definitely recommend it for those families who are interested in teaching a love and responsibility for nature to their children.

Thank you to NetGalley and Pan MacMillan for the opportunity to read this book. All opinions are my own.
