Description
Maria Del Camino grew up in Washington Heights- where the music's loud, love cuts deep, and corner bodegas feel like home- until her brother is gunned down and the fog comes.
One moment she’s crossing the George Washington Bridge, the next she’s spinning through time. With every jump, it brings her closer to the hand that pulled the trigger — and the truth waiting in the fog may be more dangerous than the bullet that killed him.
A Note From the Publisher
Quick note:
The cover is 100% human-created by Samuel Hamodey — no AI was used.
The fog theme directly connects to the book’s core idea: lost memory, time distortion, and spiritual consequence.
Your honest feedback helps fuel my upcoming 50-state author tour and my attempt to set a U.S. book-signing world record.

Fogs of Time is a fast-paced, immersive read that immediately pulls you into its layered world. From the first chapter, the story keeps building momentum, making you want to keep turning the pages to uncover what happens next
One of the most striking elements is the cover itsel. It’s mysterious, beautifully designed, and perfectly matches the intrigue of the story inside. You can’t help but want to dive in and discover what secrets are hidden within.
The dialogue feels genuine and natural, drawing you closer to the characters. Maria’s pain, especially in relation to her brother, is written with such raw emotion that you can’t help but empathize with her journey. Their bond adds depth and humanity to a narrative filled with time-bending possibilities.
And then there’s the ending its powerful crafted in a way that leaves you wanting more. It sets the stage for what feels like just the beginning of a much larger, richer story universe.
In short, Fogs of Time blends heart, mystery, and momentum in a way that will leave readers eagerly waiting for the next book to come out.

Fogs of Time pulls you in from the start. It begins in Washington Heights, full of real emotion and family struggles, then suddenly you’re off traveling through time to places you’d never expect—like futuristic cities floating above the clouds, the hidden temples of the Mayans, war-torn Europe, and even the early days of New York when it was still wild and untamed. Every scene feels alive, and you can almost smell the air of each place Maria lands in.
What really got me was Maria herself. No matter where she ends up, she never stops thinking about home or the people she loves. You feel her heart breaking, but also her strength growing with every chapter. The story moves fast, and the emotion hits even faster. The ending left me staring at the page, wishing there was just one more chapter. Honestly, I hope there’s a sequel, because I’m not ready to leave Maria’s world yet.

I loved the culture aspect of it, especially if you're from the Heights. Like all of Almonte's books, it's extremely diverse, and they all work together. Everything was moving from moment to the next. Absolutely love it. A must-read, but don't take my word for it.

This book was sooo good. Maria, a young woman facing grief and forgiveness. Not only that, she’s juggling romance and mystery. Honestly, this book hit harder than I thought, It’s about people carrying the weight of their choices. As you read this book, you will go through some many different emotions.
