I received an ARC copy for my unbiased opinion!
This book from the beginning had me grabbed the first chapter was sad about his wife dying it was so unfortunate the way she died in a carriage accident. I am happy that he found a new woman to love but in five months? That's short in my opinion but it was funny lets change the bed and everything in the room so it doesn't remind him of Caro his ex. He quickly fell in love with Annis but she was hiding a terrible secret this is what drew me into the book. They had a lot of spice in this book and she was with child after all the times they had sex. Also the line about how women use a candlestick as a dildo made me laugh out loud. It was a good read, trope is single dad. Thank you Netgalley for this arc and 100% my own opinion!
