Description

Melancholic poems that explore heartbreak, healing, and the quiet beauty of emotional recovery. A tender companion for anyone seeking solace.

Poems for Melancholics is for those who feel too much and say too little, who mourn what’s gone and dream of what could’ve been. Each poem is a meditation on heartbreak and healing, on desire and distance, on the beauty that lingers in longing. This is not a book of answers, but of reflections. Of whispered truths, soft confessions, and the kind of pain that teaches you how to endure.

For the ones who still write letters they never send.
For those who remember more than they should.
For the hearts that break beautifully.

These poems are for you.

Sad Girl Era, but Make It Art
Poems for Melancholics wraps heartbreak, healing, and a whole lot of “been there” energy into lines so raw and relatable you’ll want to text your ex and then block them again. 💌💔✨

Poems for Melancholics is a tender, unfiltered journey through heartbreak, healing, and self-rediscovery. Andrea Amani’s verses move effortlessly from loss and loneliness to flickers of hope and resilience, revealing how pain can transform into quiet beauty. What struck me most was the honesty — each poem feels like a private confession shared under candlelight. I loved reading it because it reminded me that even in sadness, there’s strength and poetry waiting to be found.

Ever had your heart stomped on, patched up with duct tape, then sprinkled with stardust? That’s Poems for Melancholics! 💔✨ I laughed, teared up, and whispered “same” way too many times. These poems hit like late-night texts from your soul — a little moody, a little magical, and totally relatable. Andrea Amani nails that bittersweet vibe that makes you want to heal and fall in love all over again. If you’ve ever felt too much, this book gets you. 💕📖

Thank you to Andrea Amani and NetGalley for this ARC!

This book absolutely stirred my soul in ways I can’t speak. I resonate deeply with the beautiful prose and the feelings that come with them. Though I can’t begin to understand the story they came from, I know that I find my own stories inside of them and can connect them to my pain as well. Thank you. I especially appreciated the “How is your soul? What do you feel?”

Thank you again for this ARC.

This is not a book that you read all at once. The entire description called out to me so hard, like magic. Poetry is not a genre I read or understand well. But one day I picked up the poetry 'pillow talk' The one with the black cover and jellyfish on it and cried in a bookshop by myself and understood it a little better.

I am rating this 5 stars. Having read a little more poetry this year because I am working on finding the type or people who write poetry that makes me feel something in my soul and not to analyze it in a educational lense.

The preface really resonated with me as well and I knew it was going to be a very personal read.
A mood and themes -- short story. I made it to 'The Pain' and everything avalanched after that.
