Seven years ago a couple fell headfirst into love and ran off to exchange vows in a fit of passion, only to have their dreams implode before the sun set on their wedding day. Now, as fate would have it, they find themselves trapped together for a friend’s destination holiday wedding with Allie determined to never see him again while Levi plans to win back the one he let slip away.
Because of a storm they find themselves alone at the vacation house with the unresolved tension shining through like a diamond. As the snow falls outside, they strike a deal—an unorthodox “closure plan” to finally put their past to rest. Bound by the twenty-four-hour understanding that they will spend one day together and then say goodbye forever.
With the glow of holiday lights surrounding them, Levi’s made it his mission to win back the one he let slip away.

This is a sweet, emotional second-chance romance set against a snowy Colorado Christmas. Seven years after their impulsive teenage marriage fell apart in a single day, Allie and Levi are forced back together for a friend’s holiday wedding. Allie wants nothing more than to avoid him, but a snowstorm traps them in a house with all their unresolved feelings.
They agree to spend one full day together for “closure,” but it quickly becomes clear that their connection never went away. The tension is strong, the emotions feel real, and the holiday setting adds a warm, cozy touch. Levi’s determination to win Allie back is both heartfelt and believable, and Allie’s hesitation makes sense given their past.
If you enjoy second-chance love stories, forced proximity, and a touch of Christmas magic, this is an easy and satisfying read.

I absolutely loved Holiday on the Rocks! I was saving the book to read during the Christmas season, and I'm so glad I did. It's a great seasonal rom-com. It's a quick read that will have you invested in the characters from the start.
I loved the chemistry between the two main characters, Allie and Levi. Their relationship is complicated, but so pure. They have great love for each other despite the many obstacles they have faced over the years. The characters are so relatable, and the author did a great job of evoking empathy for them. As a reader, I desperately wanted their relationship to work out. They clearly cared deeply for each other, despite misunderstandings and misgivings.
The writing is so good! It's very conversational, and the reader feels all the emotions of the characters. By the end of the book, I had definitely shed some tears. The author does a great job of taking the reader on a roller coaster ride of emotions throughout the book.
This is the first book I've read by this author, but it won't be the last. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author in the future.
Absolutely loved this book!
Highly recommend to anyone that loves Christmas romance books.
This is my first book by this author and will definitely not be the last.

A holiday wedding brings together former couple Allie and Levi. A second chance romance story with lots of romance, heartache and maybe a crime or two. This was an absolute page turner. The characters felt real, the story tugged at your heart and had you rooting for love!

Well, my favorite author is Lynn and when I saw that she had a sister who wrote a book and you wanted me to read it! I’m such a sucker for romances with the coming season and this was genuinely! The sweetest I love the chemistry between our main characters. It gave me all the holiday feels. I definitely want to purchase this book.!

I don't usually gravitate towards an enemies to lovers romance but this one caught my eye since it was a second chance romance and I really enjoyed it! Warm-hearted and super cute!

Allie and Levi Were once young loves who got secretly married, and then tragedy struck and Levi disappeared from Allie's life. Now, some years later, they both end up at a house in Colorado .while waiting for one of Allie's friends to get married and through a series of events, Levi gets himself invited once he figures out that allie is going to be there-- due to a snowstorm, they end up being alone for a few days and decide to get each other out of their systems. So to say but then as all the friends converge onto the house for a wedding weekend it brings chaos- , and it's probably a good time to mention that Allie's friends, and brother hate Levi. They want nothing to do with a possible alley and levi reconnection, so they pull out of mega tricks to try to make sure that doesn't happen, but there's also a big secret that Alile brother has been keeping from her this whole time. They will have her questioning everything about levi. It is a very fun cute ramcom. Definitely.Could see it being a hallmark or netflix movie?Definitely picking up for the holidays.I totally enjoyed it

Holiday on the Rocks is a second-chance romance that hits all the right notes—emotional, cozy, and just the right amount of steamy. Allie and Levi’s reunion after seven years apart is filled with tension, tenderness, and the kind of dialogue that makes you want to root for them despite their messy past. The snowy holiday setting adds the perfect touch of nostalgia and warmth, and I found myself smiling, sighing, and tearing up all within the same chapter. I loved reading it because it reminded me that sometimes love doesn’t disappear—it just waits for the right moment (and maybe a snowstorm) to come back around.
One cabin. Two exes. A blizzard’s worth of unresolved feelings. Oh yeah, I was so here for it! 💋
Okay, let’s talk about Holiday on the Rocks—because this book had me grinning like an idiot and yelling “just kiss already!” every few pages. Allie and Levi’s chemistry could melt the snow right off that roof, and their one-day “closure plan”? Please. We all knew that was going to blow up—in the best possible way. It’s got all the holiday vibes I crave: snow, lights, regrets, and redemption. If you like your romances with heart, heat, and a touch of Christmas magic, pour yourself some cocoa and settle in. This one’s a keeper. 🎄🔥💞

Loved this ! Allie and Levi are so hilarious and still have it so bad for each other. I loved their story. Holiday on the rocks is basically a hallmark romcom in book form. I loved the flow of the book, the writing, the banter, just enough spice to balance it all out.
Thank you to netgalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

At first, I expected this to be a simple Christmas read, but it turned out to be so much more than that. While the festive atmosphere was beautifully captured and undeniably heartwarming, the story delves much deeper into themes of love, loss, and second chances.
Levi and Allie’s journeys are far from easy, and watching them navigate their struggles and ultimately find their way back to each other was both moving and deeply satisfying. The author skillfully portrays how life and the people we meet can shape us, yet somehow, that invisible string always leads us where we’re meant to be.
The conclusion left me with a profound sense of joy and fulfillment — a perfect ending to a story that truly touched my heart.

our couple were married for one day( if you could even call it that) 7 years ago. before it all was taken away. now Allie and Levi are back together and not via choice. and they find themselves a whole lot closer and a whole lot more alone than they could ever have imagined. so what can they do now?
this was the best kind of rom-com. i new as soon as i downloaded it that i was going to read it. and im so glad i did. i have read it all the way through as ive got the flu so have had all the time in the world. and if there was anything that could've made me feel better it was this book.
the way Mary wrote this was like she was lending a smile and lots of fizzy, bashful and lovely moments coming through her fingers to the page.
i adored both characters and was on both their sides but wanted them both together so much i almost got anxious they might not be.
but the way this is written got you involved so quickly with these two. the setting was everything you want from this book and you can feel the cackle not just from the cosy fireplaces but from these two and their chemistry.
i also liked how they were both just good people too. i didn't feel their was anything to get over or sometimes feel i have to put aside an excuse for a red flag. no,all this book was pure joy. pure scrumtiousness. and ok im not saying im glad im ill but im kind of glad i got to sit and read this book from start to finish as soon as i saw it and felt the need.
i really like this little refresh on the premise too. its had some little genius points of newness from how they new each other, where they were now and how it all had played out in their past and then now.
