Marilee dons an old woman disguise to get a job aboard a ship heading for the colonies to escape her stepmother, who wants her dead. She falls for the captain and decides to remove her disguise and spend their last night on the ship together in his bed. But the colonies may not be as safe as she hoped. A historical romance with drama, suspense and plenty of romance to keep it interesting. The story was faced paced and the characters likable and entertaining an enjoyable read.

This book was very predictable and at times very silly... But it was still a fun read. Not many steamy scenes. And the falling in love, madly and deeply at first glance was a little gag worthy. Nonetheless, I enjoyed myself and finished it in one sitting.
