The Life, Style and Music of Chappel Roan was an ABSOLUTE joy to read, and a title that my public library youth have been itching for!!!! This title is the PERFECT blend of text and photos. Even as a super fan, the chronicling of her life was still engaging to read and new tidbits revealed themselves throughout. This collection of information is perfect for new fans, old fans, and complete strangers to her music alike, as her journey is a fascinating modern tale of breaking free from internal homophobia, exploring the world, and learning to love yourself and release your truest form. Chappel is an unbelievable story and talent that i feel so lucky to share the same timeline with, and this book is a wonderful collection of her journey. Itβs going to be a joy for kids to read now, and an important piece of history captured for the future. This is an inspiring tale of honoring your true self, and the artistry that can be released when those self love circumstances and community support are just right.
