Description

In a small beach town, Christian finds comfort and freedom in his canvas as a charismatic artist with a bold style and tender heart. Unexpectedly, he never imagined that during one of his sunset painting sessions along the shoreline, he would hear a laugh that drew his attention to Kara, a doctor's office manager, seeking shelter from the office chaos. From that moment, their connection sparks conversation and a deeper understanding of what it means to be truly seen. Their worlds were never meant to collide, but attraction blossoms quickly when they do, and the truths they’ve buried come to the surface. Kara hides her fears behind relentless ambition, while Christian conceals his struggles to be recognized as a rising artist in his own right. Brushstrokes From the Heart is a profoundly emotional romance about surrendering control, embracing vulnerability, and embarking on a transformative journey and collaboration between them, which feels like the most daring masterpiece of all.

i mean i read brushstrokes and i was in. i read the rest of the title and i was in, in. i love art. i love romance books. sooooo give me this book.
this book was about two people who found each other. they both were needing something like kindness from their everyday life. both were struggling with their own "stuff". and together they might just find that something. and maybe even a whole lot more.
this book felt like a beautiful piece of art. it was gentle, detailed, and truly something that each viewer could take their own thoughts from it. it felt bright, its felt full of layers and it felt like something we could all want to take home with us too.
i love how Eric describes to us what Christian does with his heart. you feel like you could picture one of his works. Kara had beauty in her heart and herself that you could also feel from the pages. she was struggling with her job, the pressure felt all too real.
you really do feel the vulnerability in these two and ones so many could relate to. the touching emotional side of human feels like it ripple through and from these pages. the meeting between the two was by chance but when they meet it feels meant to be. we watch then their gradual, real, true molding together. and it feels like they both needed this, this time, this being seen. this person at this time. a chance to let go of what holds them and what they are holding onto.
it feels like we as readers could be there with them. sat by the sounds and sense. the tide going in and out with our reading like the gentle rhythm to this book.
i was rooting for these two from the start. and they felt like they healed a little bit in all of us readers too. or somehow like this books gave us all pause or time. just be reading it i felt better but i couldn't tell you why!
the cover, how this cover makes me feel is what this book then proceeds to do. and if that doesn't make any sense then im sorry, haha.
this book needs a book club on the beach to be started. and then to go down there and read it together as the sun warms the skin. it would be like a mini retreat and everyone would walk back up that beach feeling sun soaked and book warmed.

When art meets heart, sparks (and paint) are guaranteed to fly!
Okay, I didn’t just read Brushstrokes From The Heart—I devoured it like a slice of key lime pie on the beach! Christian and Kara’s story had me swooning, smiling, and cheering for their happily-ever-after. The beach vibes? Perfection. The chemistry? Off the charts. And the message about being brave enough to chase love and creativity—chef’s kiss. This book is proof that love really is the greatest masterpiece. ❤️

Brushstrokes From The Heart is a beautifully written story about two people—Christian, a passionate artist, and Kara, a woman learning to let go of control—who find connection and healing through art and vulnerability. I loved how their relationship unfolded slowly and naturally, with each conversation peeling back another layer of who they were. The seaside setting felt so peaceful, and the way their personal fears intertwined with their creative journey really touched me. It’s the kind of book that makes you pause and think about your own life choices, and I genuinely enjoyed every emotional beat of it.
