Description
Endingen Mole has always lived a quiet, solitary life – until a fallen cupboard reveals a hidden map and awakens memories long buried. With questions swirling and a sense of purpose stirring, he sets off on a journey aboveground, leaving behind the safety of his tunnels.
Armed with a knapsack of treats and a growing sense of determination, Endingen ventures into a world filled with wonder and danger. Along the way, he meets a host of curious creatures, some kind, some cunning – each with their own stories and secrets.
But all paths lead to Hillfoot House, where a long-lost birthright lies in the shadow of his manipulative uncle, Julius. And though Julius has no magic, his power to twist minds and bend wills may be the most dangerous force of all.

I went into Endingen Mole not quite knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be such a gentle, quietly meaningful read.
At its heart, this is a story about stepping outside your comfort zone, and I really felt that through Endingen’s journey. He starts off living a very small, safe life, and watching him slowly find the courage to explore something bigger felt genuinely lovely. There’s something quite comforting about the way the story unfolds, even when there’s a hint of danger along the way.
I really enjoyed the mix of characters he meets. Some are warm and kind, others a bit more unsettling, and it gives the story a nice balance that keeps things interesting without ever losing that softer tone.
What stood out most for me though was the feeling behind it. Knowing this story comes from a place of passion and personal experience really adds something special. There’s a quiet emotional thread running through it that makes it feel more than just an adventure.
For me, this was a thoughtful and heartfelt read with a gentle message about courage, identity and finding your place in the world. A lovely start to what feels like it could be a really charming series.
