This is a beautiful love story woven into the investigation of a series of deaths in a small Ohio town. The many personalities involved in the case are well drawn, and the interactions are a source of continuing entertainment. The book is easy reading, and the many subplots add to the value. Definitely a fine example of crime noir. I hesitate to say more at the risk of becoming a spoiler, but you should read the book for suspense, excitement and satisfaction.

I really enjoyed this book, I liked Lacey and I liked the fact that although there was also a love interest it wasn't too explicit.I enjoy thrillers I would prob say it was my favourite genre whereas romances are my least favourite, but I was perfectly happy with the mix of thriller and romance here, its was fine. The story was exciting, I wasn't sure who the bad guy was and just when I thought it was a done deal there was more,it kept me on the edge of my seat.I'm hoping this is not a stand alone book, I think there is more mileage to come and I would certainly like to see Lacey again. In fact I'll be very keen to read more books by this author, I like her writing style. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the book in return for an honest review.

Good mystery. Great main character, a realistic relationship between her and a new girlfriend. The only complaint I had about it, and it's not even a big deal, but occasionally the timeline was a little confusing.

I would read something by this author again.

excellent start to a good series...good writing..got right into the mix of very intensive crime scene..love the feel of being there..the author had me so afraid that i couldn't put this book down..wanted to find out what the was gonna happen next because of such good writing..love the build up of how the two main leading ladies before they met and how one lied/dishonest to get her story which us the readers didn't find out a lot later by the way which was a twist in the story-line..to this i give great honor to the author's good thought in putting a lot into coming up with this...good blend of all other characters involve in this good plot of a action pact, law abiding crime telling drama small town, drug, killing series..one thing i wanna state..a good detective always make a terrible girlfriend...they can never investigate their own family or own good hint hint in this story...she's a cop and couldn't tell that her own girlfriend was on drugs and stealing her money and jewellery, plus her present girlfriend Ali is a private detective and not a web-designer? this was so not my take on a good cop in the story anyway...all in all it was well done love the outcome and now onto the next chapter or the next series of this ongoing saga...highly recommend!!!

At first I didn't know what to think about Sight Lines. I didn't get into the story and then there was a part where Lacey's 'gaydar' works on a dead body.

But she somehow grew on me and the story itself got interesting. Maybe because there was no sexual motive? And I had no idea who the murderer was.

This book's mostly your usual crime novel, but I wasn't bored reading it and the detective is far more interesting then most - Gary/Mary Sue seems to be the prototype for police workers? Sadly the ending was a little bit too easy.

The story wasn't what I was expecting but it was a great book. Well written with characters that come to life. Having found myself drawn to the FF genre of romance and suspense, this one captured both. The best overall thing about the story, which has annoyed me in this genre, is that not all the supporting characters are lesbians! Thank you for that Michelle DiCeglio.

A very good read, kept you guessing as to who the killer was. Plenty of twists.

Like I said before , this is the first book that I picked up that the main character was LGTB Lesbian, while I mainly pick up LGTB Gay, I was surpised that I actually like the story, loved the mystery , and secrets that where hiden and finally came out, loved how there was a lot of twist and turns and how Lacey was able to give love a other chance, and how she even began to under stand how she had also made mistakes not just Ail.only promble I had was it did say how the killer got way from the police ,maybe I missed that part but still a good story to read.
