Description
Just when you think you know all the answers...you don’t.
Arnaud Pascolo’s latest award-winning international crime thriller is more than an intense whodunit or police procedural – it’s a gripping mystery that begins with a shock and never lets you come up for air! You have to do more than put together the pieces and find the villain - you have to figure out the crime!
Crypto company BionTic is facing financial difficulties, but a strange text message gives Luc Stark hope for a brighter future. The meeting invitation results in his being handed an envelope labeled "Clue One," which he is instructed to open after leaving. Moments later, the man answers a phone call, and Luc suddenly collapses and dies. When police detectives begin looking into the strange death, they learn that is only the beginning of the mystery.
Who is behind this unique murder, and what is the motive?
When crypto entrepreneur Luc Starck dies under suspicious circumstances in the heart of Switzerland’s crypto valley, the pressure on police to solve the case is intense. As the investigation shifts from untimely natural death to potential murder, senior investigator Bernt Berg partners with his rookie daughter to find answers that are more elusive than anyone imagines.
Luc’s friends in the cryptocurrency world aren’t making the search for answers easy. Duan Ripa, a fragile man mourning his deceased wife, works outside of the police to decode the private key to Luc’s crypto wallet and uncovers an unnerving revelation - Luc’s death was no accident. Faced with a life-and-death race against the clock, Duan must find the strength to unlock the final clue before it’s too late.
Zero Knowledge is a cleverly crafted, fast-paced thriller set in the Swiss city of Zug. As answers lead to more questions and the initial conclusions prove incorrect, will the intrepid young investigator be able to step into her father’s shoes to solve this crime, or is this something more than a brilliant murder?
Advance Praise
"The storyline was fast-moving, and I found myself unable to turn the pages quickly enough, fearful that I would miss something important." -- Alma Boucher for Readers' Favorite ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Deeply rooted in reality, the word-building of this narrative skillfully conveys the excitement of anonymity. Its capacity to defy genre boundaries is evident as it reads as literary fiction at first, then as a cyber thriller, and lastly as a revenge story." -- The Feathered Quill ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Zero Knowledge is an exciting thriller by Arnaud Pascolo that skillfully weaves together a complicated and high-stakes story involving crime, technology, and personal drama. This book is a masterpiece of modern storytelling." -- Jessica Morgan for The Book Revue ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I received an ARC through "NetGalley" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This story begins with Mina and Duan at the doctor where Mina discovers that she has a rare form of cancer with a very short time to live. Mina decides that she wants to meet up with Luc and his wife Gail to advise them of the results. Jump forward 4 months and Mina has died and Duan is just trying to survive. The story jumps to Luc receiving a message to meet with an unknown party. Luc arrives for the appointment and is handled an envelope and told not to open it. Shortly thereafter Luc suffers a medical event. The police are called and don't know whether it is a natural death or a murder.
Read along and discover what the clues that are received will eventually lead the police to the right conclusion. Once Gail learns of Luc's death she contacts Duan and he comes to comfort her. Luc has been receiving messages from an individual looking for the crypto that disappeared from his account. This individual unaware of Luc's death had made a plan where he wound up abducting Gail to put pressure on Gail. Duan had discovered Luc's crypto wallet but didn't have the pass key to access it. Getting back to Gail's abduction, Duan was given 8 hrs. to transfers a certain amount of crypto or something would happen to Gail.
The story now flips back and forth between the activities the police are doing to discover who the killer was and back to Duan as he attempts to learn the pass key so he can save Gail.
The story will keep you reading continuously till you finished. The ending is unexpected. This is definitely a book well worth reading, don't miss out!
This was a smart, tightly constructed thriller that kept my attention from start to finish. The author does an impressive job weaving complex ideas—cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, and ethical questions around end-of-life choices—into a story that remains accessible even if you’re not deeply familiar with the technical side. The plot unfolds over a short, intense timeline, peeling back layers of mystery with well-placed clues and effective misdirection, and the pacing makes it hard to put down. While some of the dialogue, particularly between investigators, felt a bit stiff and leaned more toward exposition than natural flow, the overall storytelling strength more than carried the novel. The multiple perspectives added depth, the emotional stakes were clear, and the final twists were genuinely satisfying—even if you suspect the truth early, the journey keeps you questioning yourself. A compelling, fast-paced mystery with ambition and heart.
Thank you to the author and publisher for the ARC.

This book was the perfect blend of cyber crime, murder mystery, financial suspense with a second chance romance in the mix. I must say I never expected that ending. Just when you thought a crime had been resolved boom here comes the final twist.
The story goes into the world of cryptocurrencies and cybersecurity and I having Zero Knowledge about these topics, the story seemed to slow down a little bit but, never to the point where it dragged and made me lose interest,I was always fully engaged and entertained ,there was always enough action , drama, trauma and suspense.
