Description

When a magic spell rewrites her past, a love-skeptic radio host must decide whether to protect her heart or finally risk it.

Elliot West has built her brand on rejecting love. On her hit radio show, she trashes fairy-tale endings and insists happily ever afters are nothing more than a marketing ploy. Cynicism sells, and for Elliot, it’s paid off big-time.

But when a mysterious tarot card reader casts a spell on her, Elliot laughs it off…until she wakes up the next morning in a life she doesn’t recognize. Leo, her summer fling, is suddenly her boyfriend, as if they never said goodbye.

Soon, a family wedding in Belize forces Elliot to confront all the reasons she swore off love in the first place. Between dodging old wounds, navigating her mother’s fourth trip down the aisle, and making sense of a reality where she and Leo picked up right where they left off, Elliot starts to question everything. Torn between the life she’s built and a love she never believed in, Elliot must decide if this new reality is the second chance she didn’t know she was waiting for.

A Note From the Publisher

Beth Merlin earned her BA from the George Washington University and her juris doctor from New York Law School. A lifelong New Yorker, Beth loves anything Broadway, romantic comedies, and a good maxi dress. When she isn’t writing, you can find her spending time with her husband, daughter, and two cavapoos, Sammy and Scarlett, at home or at their favorite vacation spot, Kiawah Island, South Carolina. She and Danielle Modafferi are the coauthors of Life Derailed, Heart Restoration Project, and The Last Phone Booth in Manhattan. For more information, visit www.merlinandmod.com.

Danielle Modafferi, a high school English teacher and pun enthusiast, earned her MFA in writing popular fiction from Seton Hill University and, shortly after, founded Firefly Hill Press in 2016. By day, she helps her students discover the magic of language, and by night, she’s a writer and publisher on a mission to unleash her creativity and help others do the same. Danielle loves making memories with friends and family, traveling to faraway (and some not-so-faraway) places, and snuggling with her Yorkipoo, Liam, who is also, incidentally, her biggest fan. She and Beth Merlin are the coauthors of Life Derailed, Heart Restoration Project, and The Last Phone Booth in Manhattan. For more information, visit www.merlinandmod.com.
