This was a very cute Christmas story. There's not a lot of character development, and I could easily see it being a full length novel, but I liked that it was short. Ian is a single dad still hurting from the loss of his wife, and his little boy, Kyle, wants his kindergarten teacher to be his new mommy. Katie is the teacher who was raised as a foster kid and has no family. The relationship is quick, the love is instant, but it's a cute story that really gives you the feeling of Christmas. If you're looking for a quick happy read...this is it!

My only problem with this story is that it was too short! Obviously as a novella it's going to escalate quickly, so I'm overlooking the really early declarations of love. I really liked Katie and Ian. Although they are both so different from a social perspective, they are similar as they both are lonely. Ian is the tortured widow and Katie grew up in the foster system with no family. I wanted a little more of the story (including Frank) only because I didn't want it to end. Both characters had a lot of chemistry and I was immediately drawn to them and their story. This is a great way to spend and hour or so and it's Christmas novella to go along with the season.

I received a copy of this story through NetGalley from eTreasures Publishing for an honest review. (thank you!)

Love this heartwarming cute story about second chance love. Ian lost his wife in accident and has no interest in dating. Katie is Ian’s son teacher and she’s attracted to Ian since the first day he dropped Kyle off at school. Kyle’s Christmas wish is for his father to be happy and he feels that he would be happy with his teacher. When Kyle invites Katie to join them for dinner Ian sees her in a different light. After two years decided he wants to date again and he’s interested in Katie. Let just say that Kyle is happy with the outcome. Recommended read.
