Secrets Do Not Retire Quietly
Avenue for an Assassin grabbed me with its cool confidence and pulled me straight into a world where the past refuses to stay silent and the stakes keep rising.
Avenue for an Assassin pulled me in right away with its mix of quiet mystery and high stakes intrigue. What starts as a simple request for help quickly turns into a tense investigation tied to old wartime connections and dangerous truths in Paris. I really enjoyed how the story balanced history with suspense, and I found myself completely absorbed in following Jonas Shaw as the case grew darker and more urgent. This was one of those books where I kept telling myself just one more chapter.
Old secrets never stay buried...
I was hooked from the first call because this book wastes zero time getting interesting. Jonas Shaw is not your average hero and that is exactly why this story works so well. What looks like a small mystery blows up into something massive and intense, and I loved every second of watching it spiral out of control. The pacing is sharp, the tension keeps climbing, and Paris feels alive and dangerous in the best way. If you love smart thrillers with history tangled up in secrets and consequences, you should absolutely read this one. 🔥📘
