Unfortunately, while, I was originally intrigued by the cover and premise of book, everyone knows I love a good cat story, when I looked closer I realized at minimum the artwork in this story is AI. In general, I do not support AI usage in books that includes writing, editing, and especially covers and artwork.

I did read several of the stories and I think in general they’re a bit surface level and fell flat for me. However, I think with the removal of the AI artwork and assuming this book was written in good faith without AI that this could be improved in a more ethical fashion for readers and could become truly enjoyable

This is a great book full of short stories about cats. It has some beautiful detailed images inside and written really well.

I have never owned a cat or lived with one. But that didn’t affect how much I enjoyed this book. This is a collection of vignettes about the lives and antics of cats. Told from the point of view of the cats.Each “story sheds light on cats' behavior. If you could mhear what cats are thinking these stories would be spot on. The stories were both tender and funny. The best part was the ending. Without giving away too much detail, the reader gets a glimpse of famous cat owners and their Cats over the centuries

This is a fun, relaxing read. An ode to,the role cats play In the human experience. I highly recommend this book.

This was such a delightful read! Each story felt warm, engaging, and full of personality. Whether you’re a cat lover or just enjoy light, feel-good storytelling, this book is a joy from start to finish.

It has that cozy, comforting vibe that makes it perfect for relaxing with and savoring one story at a time.

What a cute, whimsical collection of stories about cats.

I love that it is broken up into sections - Cats In Thought, Cats Of Famous People, Cats At Work and Cats In Occupations.

I often wish that I could communicate with my two cats, Ebony and Lily, so it was wonderful to read these stories told from a cats perspective.

Cat Tales by Herbert S. Rolfes is exactly what the title suggests. It is a collection of short stories told from the perspective of cats. The book is broken up into different sections including cats of famous people and cats with occupations. I really liked the pet store cat. Each story is fairly short. They appropriate for most ages. You don't have to read them in order. You can read whatever tickles your fancy for the moment. If you like cats and wish they could talk, give this a read. It was very fun, and the illustrations are super cute.

Bonus points for being about cats. That's enough to earn extra points.

This was so cute and cozy for someone who likes cats. This is like a life of a cat, where there is happy moments but also spooky moments.

This was such a cute and cozy collection of short stories revolving around cats and their different personalities. If you’re looking for a wholesome read and you’re a cat lover then this is for you. The writing is simple and it’s pretty surface level. These short stories work well as a palate cleanser between longer books or if you want to read something that will help get your mind off everyday life stress. I liked to read a story or two before going to bed.

'Cat Tales' is a lovely, whimsical book told from the perspective of cats. It looks at different aspects of a fictional feline world, such as the musings of everyday life and cats of famous people. I found the novel to be cute without being overly saccharine. A good add for any cat lover. 4 stars.

The illustrations and the overall "vibe" of the book are incredibly cozy and sweet. It’s the kind of book that makes you want to curl up with your own cat and a warm drink. The variety of "tales" ensures that there’s a relatable moment for every type of cat owner.
​The Not-So-Good:
At times, the narrative felt just a bit childish. While the simplicity is part of its charm, some of the dialogue and plot points leaned a little too heavily into a younger reading level for my personal taste
