The Bad Judgment Series

Very suspenseful. I just wish the romance had evolved more slowly. It seemed a little rushed even with the danger surrounding the couple. I also had a concern about a strategy they used to "hide" their identities. It seemed it would work in the short term, but they didn't think about how it would be another identifier once they were discovered.

To begin with, when I requested this book, I just thought the cover was beyond hot. After getting into the book a little bit, I realized it was so much more than that. After reading as much as I have, it is hard to find many books I just can't stand the suspense of putting down, but this book fits that category. You will find yourself rooting for the good guys and wanting the bad guys punished. Of course, it doesn't hurt that a nerdy girl who doesn't realize how pretty she is gets the super hot Billionaire. I love that there was actually a plot to this book besides your typical boy has money, boy meets girl, boy is an asshole, girl is down and out, boy rescues her to get laid, happily ever after.

When I first started this book, it starts off slow enough that I thought I was going to have a hard time getting through it. Then, hoo boy it got good. Real good. I know a lot of people don't like the slow burn and the slow starts. I'm good with them as long as it pays off in the end and the slowness doesn't overtake the book. I was kept just intrigued enough to keep hanging in there and the romantical parts weren't necessarily a slow burn, but more of a simmering. The attraction is there and acknowledged, but considering their roles, nothing can be done about it. Until something can definitely be done about it. While the romance parts I definitely loved, the mysterious parts is what kept this book a keeper for me. There's so many questions while reading the book that has to get answered and I couldn't put the book down until they were answered. While Leigh James is a new for me author I will definitely be checking out the rest of her books. I think I've found a new one to add to my favorites is the rest of her books are anything like this.

Oh boy I really liked this storyline! Nicole is one of those very serious girls who works very hard as a lawyer but not so much as a girlfriend. She is in a relationship with a nerdy guy who is boring stuff sex but she is comfortable because she can concentrate on work and not on her relationship. Well her boss calls her and asks her to stop what she is doing and come to the office and when she gets there he tells her that they will be representing Broden Walker a sexy CEO that is being brought up on Federal charges by the US government .
Walker as he likes to be called is charming and very sexy and Nicole has to use all of her strength not to give in to his charms, she could be disbarred. When the judge puts Walker under house arrest Nicole is chosen to keep him company. The more time she spends with him the more she can see his innocence and the more in love she is falling. Walker starts to get a little scared as he is pretty sure they are being spied on and listened to and when strange cars seem to be following them he and Nicole are sure of it. Nicole is not sure who they can trust and when people start dying they may have to do something desperate. This can be read as a standalone but why would you want to? I can't wait to see what happens next.

Wow this just gets better and better but now someone has died and it was meant for Nicole. Walker and Nicole are on the run because they thought the pizza guy wasn't connected but someone else died and things are beginning to add up. They have changed their appearance as much as they can and they are meeting with a friend of Walkers named Levi who is going to give them new names and passports and such. Walker feels so guilty because the government and a few others are after him and he feels Nicole is trapped with him but he can't let her go because he loves her. Now they are on the run to Miami with new names and passports and licenses, even tattoos. They are trying to figure out who and which one of them that the people are after and why? They finally make it into Blue Securities and see April, Lester Max's secretary there, now maybe they will get to the bottom of things. I won't give away much more of the plot but if you want danger and sex keeping you on your toes grab this book!

This is a steamy read under the billionaire romance genre. I loved how the main character was very serious and concentrated in her work which was totally relatable but then this sexy CEO comes around and all hell breaks lose! Definitely a fun, sexy read.
