An Egyptian Affair

I wasn't too sure about this book, but I found I throughly enjoyed it.  I do enjoy reading about times and places that have been lost in history.  I salsa enjoyed the way the author brought her characters to life. Definitely recommend.

I love books set in the period of Egyptology, this one was great mystery, thrills, spills  and some romance to boot.  This book reminds me a lot of  the Peabody books written by Elizabeth Peters, which I love. It has a gentler touch and sets the scene of Egypt a lot more.  Regardless, it was a really fun book and I am sure there will b lots more adventures after this one as the ending allows it.

I was pleased to get this book as Cheryl Bolen is a very good author.  I got the feeling while reading her story of being at the bazaar and the summer heat there in Egypt.  The mystery she  was writing was a keep you on your toes with very subtle hints.  It took me a while to figure out who did it, but when the results were there ,sorry to, I was only half correct.    If you like Regency, suspense, or mysteries you will enjoy this one.

Captain Jack Dryden would never normally dream of turning down an assignment from the Regent.
