Description
Surviving the Wild is a wildly empowering, laugh-out-loud, cry-a-little (and maybe pee a little) memoir about one woman's radical leap into the unknown. Through love affairs, heartbreaks, spiritual awakenings, and cultural deep dives, she discovers that happiness isn't a destination-it's a wild, messy, beautiful ride.
This is not a guidebook. It's a permission slip, a call to action for anyone-especially women-who have ever felt the tug of a different life. It's about saying yes to adventure, yes to desire, yes to the kind of joy that doesn't need permission.
With wit, wisdom, and a whole lot of heart, Surviving the Wild invites you to rethink what's possible. Whether you're single, partnered, lost, found, or somewhere deliciously in between, this book will remind you: the life you crave is out there. And it's waiting for you to show up.
Advance Praise
“Surviving the Wild resonates powerfully with Thoreau’s adage that most people are living lives of quiet desperation. Kimberly Anne’s story recounts her sometimes joyful and often painful journey of escape. Beyond the gravitas, there is also much good humor. The question for her readers is ‘Red Pill? Or Blue?’”
“In her stark authenticity and vulnerability, Kimberly Anne pulls back the curtain and gives a peek at the pivotal moments of transformation where both choices and courage can lead a woman into a level of wild freedom that exists beyond the confines of societal limitations.”

Just bad. Really, really bad. 50% tired, worn out platitudes, and 50% long-winded essays on the wondrous qualities of male genitalia. And that's about it. The author spent a tremendous amount of her time (and mine) trying desperately to validate, authenticate, and justify a veritable lifetime of poor choices. The sad part though, is not that she has failed to convince the reader. Even sadder, is that she has crafted a real-time existence in which the FMC has no self-awareness as to where this "wild" life ultimately leads. For a 50 yr old woman, that is not a good omen. I wish her the best. **I was provided this ARC by NetGalley, but all opinions are my own.
