EDITED TO ADD: Immediately after submitting my review, the publisher reached out to let me know the file was displaying the book incorrectly. There are words, and they're fabulous! What a fun tale to pair with students' study of myths, folklore, etc.

ORIGINAL: I had to check reviews before leaving my own to make sure I didn't miss the words! The illustrations in this book are incredible! But it didn't feel like it should have been wordless. Pickles are really having their day, so kids would likely love this!

Pickle the Pig is a delightfully silly and imaginative children’s book that delivers big laughs and plenty of charm. The story is playful, fast-paced, and filled with humorous moments that will keep kids fully engaged from beginning to end.

Pickle himself is an unforgettable character, mischievous, lovable, and just the right amount of chaotic. The story leans into its fun premise and doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it perfect for read-alouds. Kids will giggle at the antics, while adults will appreciate the clever humour woven throughout.

The illustrations add an extra layer of personality and energy, bringing the story to life and enhancing the comedic moments. This is the kind of book that children will happily ask to read again and again.

Overall, Pickle the Pig is a joyful, entertaining picture book that celebrates humour, imagination, and a bit of delightful nonsense. A great choice for storytime and a fun addition to any child’s bookshelf

This was such a cute little story.

My son is autistic and mentally four so I am always looking for books that he will understand and not hear me saying "blah blah blah blah".

This one had him giggling and he was like really that is how they created bacon covered pickles? We even told my husband in the car and we were all laughing.

Great story, I would say 4-5 years, nice graphics!
