Description
From the USA Today bestselling author of How to Survive a Horror Story comes a biting slasher perfect for fans of John Tucker Must Die and The Final Girl Support Group, following three women who lure their cheating boyfriend to a remote mountain cabin, only to realize that darkness lurks within the very walls, waiting to pick them off one by one.
One isolated cabin. One cheating boyfriend. One plan to get even.
When Nora, Ruby, and Cham discover that they've each been dating the same man, what starts as outrage quickly spirals into a plot for revenge. Together they hatch a plan to lure their boyfriend to a romantic getaway in a secluded cabin at the top of a snow-covered mountain.
Only what was meant to be harmless payback soon takes a chilling turn when their not-so-adoring boyfriend is found dead in the cabin.
Stranded and snowed in, the women begin to look at each other with increasing suspicion. And as tensions rise, hidden motives come to light. To survive, each woman must confront her own demons as they fight to uncover if one of them is the killer, or if something else lurks in the freezing wilderness, waiting to pick them off one by one.

“Mallory Arnold’s CROSS MY HEART, I HOPE YOU DIE is a pulse-pounding thriller with all my favorite elements: a remote location, a cheating boyfriend, fierce female friendships, and a healthy dose of revenge. A dark, satisfying rollercoaster of a read.” —Jennifer Hillier, bestselling author of Things We Do in the Dark
"I absolutely loved this horror-filled, creepy, twisty novel by Mallory Arnold. I went in blind and quickly thought I knew where this was going: a celebration of female friendship, complete with some well-deserved revenge on a cheating boyfriend. Boy, was I wrong. The story shifts from clever to absolutely terrifying, and then spirals into even darker territory. At least I think it does, by then I was reading through my fingers. Sleep with the lights on." —Natalie Barelli, bestselling author of The Housewife
“A fast-paced ride that had me craving maniacal revenge while it lured me into a ghastly and deliciously creepy turn of events that I was beyond giddy to discover.”—Amy K. Green, author of The Prized Girl and Haven’t Killed In Years
"CROSS MY HEART, I HOPE YOU DIE is the perfect blend of addictive, fun, and twisty, all wrapped up in a revenge plot everyone will be cheering for and a terrifying cabin in the mountains. Come for the female rage and a man you will love to hate, stay for the slasher vibes and intense fight for survival." —Sian Gilbert, author of I Did Warn Her
"Three women sled down a mountain on their ex-boyfriend’s corpse. It sounds like the punchline to a morbid joke—but this spine chilling thriller-horror quickly proves otherwise. Through multiple POV narration, fiercely lovable characters, and relentless, breakneck pacing, USA Today bestseller Mallory Arnold delivers a wildly entertaining story about survival, sisterhood, and the brutal lengths we’ll go to protect the ones we love. I have papercuts!"—Hannah Morrissey, USA Today bestselling author of The Unlucky Ones
“Jason is the ultimate confidence trickster, a love bomber, a ‘Dirty John’ on steroids. So, do I cheer when he’s found dead in an isolated cabin? You bet I do. In the face of adversity, Jason’s exes Nora, Ruby, and Cham choose to join forces, to rise to every challenge. There will be no shrinking like violets from these three. Mallory Arnold’s CROSS MY HEART, I HOPE YOU DIE is a disturbing, intense, heart-pounding ride. If you like your mysteries served with a healthy sauce of gore and a pinch of humor, you’ll turn the last page of this novel feeling sated.”—KD Aldyn, author of Sister Butcher Sister

This book was INSANE. I read ‘How to Survive a Horror Story’ by this author and loved it, so of course I was SO excited to receive an arc of this book. This story was even better than I expected. So many twists and turns, so many obstacles the characters faced, and so much character development happened. I love all three of the women and the roles they played in the story and in each other’s lives. The ending had me yearning for more. I seriously could not put this down and I can’t wait to get my physical copy so I can read it all over again.
This was nonstop female revenge fun! Three women unknowingly were dating the same man. How far will they go to get back at him?
This book didn’t skip a beat! Multiple POV, short chapters, and I loved the police transcripts scattered throughout!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Five glorious stars!! Cross My Heart, I Hope You Die is yet another winner by Mallory Arnold. After reading and loving How to Survive a Horror Story, she immediately became one of my go-to authors. This book was pure, creepy, horror-filled fun! I loved the atmospheric writing style and how quickly the eerie isolation of the snowy mountain consumed me. I swear I could hear the wind howling...it was chilling. I can't say that I really connected with any of the characters one on one, but they were likable and well-developed. I thought of them more collectively, like one big unit of female solidarity and empowerment. And I absolutely loved the revenge plot! I also enjoyed the transcripts that were scattered throughout the story. They added an extra level of suspense to what would transpire near the end. What a fun read! I loved it and can't wait to read more from this author. Highly recommend!
