This was such a helpful resource which led to me increasing my TBR significantly. I love that there is a summary of each book as well as the chapter samples, which was helpful as I love reading YA but I am also picky with which YA novels I will pick up. Thank you for the insight into some amazing up and coming books.

I love it when these samplers come out! They are such a marvelous way to sample upcoming titles and determine which ones to request for review. Truly an invaluable resource!

This is the first time I've tried the Buzz Books sampler, but I'll definitely get it again.

I discovered a few titles that I never would have looked at . I mean, there are books about both the Tepeshes and the Bathorys and no vampires in either one. How strange is that! Even stranger, I want to read them anyway.

Thanks to this sampler, I've got material for a few more Waiting on Wednesday posts this spring.

This is a great resource to have as a book blogger/reviewer because it gives a chance to read little snippets of the upcoming YA Books although my wishlist of books has now toppled over I think this is the first time ever that I want to read each and every book in this book.

These samplers are getting my heartrate up! With my recent interest in the Young Adult genre, I am looking forward when many of these books will be released in 2016. I have requested a few through NetGalley as well, as I want to be one of the first to get my hands on them. This will be a very exciting year for thiis genre!

Buzz Books is such a fabulous way of keeping up with what's hot in new releases! I love reading excerpts of books so that I can get an idea of what books to add to my TBR and what books to pre-order. There are definitely some promising releases for spring/summer 2016!

Once again, Buzz Books has created an excellant resource for book bloggers/reviewers to explore new and undisovered authors as well as some favorites! I'm always eager to browse through the YA Books and add them to my watch list. I'm looking forward to many of these in spring/summer 2016 and I'm sure many will be added to my TBR pile. Thanks!!

Incredibly helpful in searching for books to purchase for the coming season!

As is the case with the adult sampler, the YA Buzz Books Spring/Summer sampler means a mass of additions to my must have list! Some of the titles I'm looking forward to this season are: Kimberly McCreight's teen debut, THE OUTLIERS; Tosca Lee's Bathory book, THE PROGENY; and Monica Hesse's WWII title, THE GIRL IN THE BLUE COAT.

This is a great way to add lots of book to your pile. But seriously there are so many good books being released soon and what better way to get to know what you will be picking up than to sample them!

Yes, it is that time of the year again. I was eagerly looking forward to the new Buzz Books as they give the first glimpse of what the next publishing season is going to bring.

In this collection there were 20 titles, and you are given a short description and a sample. After reading the sample you can decide whether or not you want to request the book on Netgalley via the in book provided link. I already got some new books, that I'm currently reading from this collection.

Last year I thought the spring edition was considerably less interesting than the fall one, but I thought this was a strong and interesting edition.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I'm not a fan of reading excerpts, so I didn't expect to love this as much as I did, but I though this guide was really awesome. I really enjoyed reading all of the excerpts and almost all of them are books that I am now interesting in reading. I think this is great for YA book-lovers to give you an idea of some of the amazing YA books coming out this year. A great way to build your TBR list and give you something to look forward to! Overall, they had great picks!

I always love these! So many good choices to look forward to this upcoming season!

I love checking these out every season to see what books I'm interested in for the future.

As always, I love getting the Buzz Books Excepts! These compilations allow reviewers, like myself, to read excerpts of upcoming releases, without the commitment of requesting the titles. By reading a chapter or two, I am more confident requesting books from netgalley, because I already know I will enjoy the books. Please keep these exclusive excerpts coming!

In this collection, my favourite books were: You Know Me Well by David Levithan & Nina LaCour, The Outliers by Kimberly McCreight, The Darkest Couners by Kara Thomas, & Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley

I liked this combo of sneak peeks! Some of my favorite authors are included here and I can't wait to get the full books!

Helpful as always. I really love the format of Buzz Books, with a summary and excerpt.

This "book" was so good.. You are able to read some excerpt of new books that will be published this year. There are awesome authors like Richelle Mead, David Levithan and Maggie Stiefvater.

And you can ask for the book in netgally to read it early!! Fantastic!!

I always get super excited when I see the Buzz Books list on netgalley. It helps get a general idea of what might be a hit for the season. It is also extremely useful in getting an overview of books for readers' advisory for patrons!

This title is like a what's what list of books coming out this year that fans of YA literature will be clamoring for.

I was especially happy to read the samples for The Raven King and This Savage Song. It was almost like this title was written to include all the books I need to have on my preorder list.

I love these Buzz Books! I get to preview some great up and coming books and choose from various genre's for my reading challenges..too easy :)

This is probably my most favorite part of Netgalley. I love having the opportunity to peruse upcoming reads - many of which I haven't heard of beforehand. It creates buzz for sure!

Super helpful. It gives you an insight into some new titles as well as new titles from popular authors. Very helpful for considering new books (Looking forward to With Malice).. The only reason I wouldn't buy it for my library is because its more of a professional tool for myself than for my teens.

I LOVE when the new Buzz Books is out. It is such a HUGE plus to be able to read the new and upcoming books, well, excepts of them, so I know what to expect and what I can order for various customers at the store.

The only negative is that I want to read them ALL, or practically all, of them myself, so my TBR tends to grow.

I have to say I really liked most of the excerpts this time around, which I am hopeful bodes well for better books being published for young adults. There is so much dreck out there, that really good books for the YA set is a breath of fresh air.

I definitely recommend it to anyone who liked YA books, but doesn't have all the time in the world to read all of the new books coming out and needs to be a bit picky. Five happy stars.

My thanks to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch BUZZ BOOKS for an eARC copy of the book to read and review.

Another great Buzz Books book of excerpts!

Loved reading the excerpts contained in this Buzz Books 2016 Young Adult Spring/Summer. I certainly discovered a few titles that I maybe wouldn't have requested. However reading the excerpts introduced me to Authors new to me as well as giving me a taste of each of the books featured. I am looking forward to reading quite a few of the titles featured in this collection.

As I expected, the excerpt from Richelle Mead's Glittering Court was great - I've read some of her other works and enjoyed them, but I like the concept of this series even better. I've already requested the full ARC.

I didn't expect to like Julia Vanishes, because the title, cover, and blurb didn't grab me, but the excerpt was really good! I'll definitely be checking this one out (although I think the title and cover could be amped up a bit.)

I had already come across blurbs from Rebel of the Sands and The Progeny and they're both on my TBR list. I was also intrigued by Beware That Girl - another title that didn't grab me, but the excerpt was intriguing and I'd like to see where it goes.

The standout for me in terms of finding something that I wouldn't normally pick up off a bookshelf (or off NetGalley's "find a book" screen) was You Know Me Well. Not my usual genre, but I might request it to see if the whole story is as good as the excerpt - which was amazingly written and the perfect length. Honestly, it could be a short story all on its own and nothing would be missing, you'd just be left wanting more :-)

The previews I read were pretty great! Can't wait for the actual books to come out!

This is a really helpful compilation! It's much more detailed in the summary than just a book jacket or blurb. It was a really nice way to explore what's coming up in the genera.l. I am not typically involved in the Teen/YA category but was able to find a few titles that I'd like to read to sort of "break in" to YA novels.

My goal for February -- reduce the size of my “To Be Read” stack in anticipation of what’s on the horizon! Thanks to Buzz Books Young Adult Spring-Summer 2016 Sampler, I have a bunch of exciting new books on my radar that I’ll be wanting to read and recommend. Along with titles by well-known authors Richelle Mead, Mary Weber, Maggie Stiefvater, and David Levithan, there are some great looking debuts. Time for me to get busy reading!

As always, Buzz Books YA is a great resource for teen librarians wishing to stay ahead of upcoming titles. It can sometimes be hard to take recommendations based on a short review and a cover, so Buzz Book's excerpts allow librarians to take a closer look at new publications and make informed decisions based on style and content.. Thanks!

I've never tried a Buzz Books before, but I've heard from a lot of people that it's great and very helpful, so I tried it, and I agree completely. I found a lot of new books that I added to my TBR, and I can't wait for them to release, so I can start reading! It was a great way to find new books to get excited about, or, in some cases, get even more excited about a book you've been waiting for. I am so happy I read this!

This is such an awesome concept! I've loved being able to sample different YA books! The only reason that I wouldn't recommend it to our library for purchase is that it's more of a professional resource than an item that our patrons could check out.

I always appreciate Buzz Books YA. It's a great opportunity for me to get acquainted with some up-and-coming authors and to visit with some old favorites. This is one of the strongest collections of Buzz Books yet! Here are my favorites:

The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater has been preordered by my library for weeks. The Raven Boys series has a small but dedicated following in our school. After reading this excerpt, I can see why! A delicate balance of fantasy, paranormal, and mystery, Stiefvater is a master writer. I'm very excited to share this installment with my students.

The excerpt I was most surprised by how much I liked it was My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. Historical fiction is generally not "my thing". I can name the YA historical fiction books I have liked in one small sentence. However, the wit and bite of the excerpt I read made me sad when I reached the end! I must must must have this novel! Pre-order!

With Malice by Eileen Cook caught my interest as well. Realistic fiction about an 18 year old girl named Jill who has amnesia following the car accident that killed her best friend has a sinister tone. You KNOW something is off, but we only get an excerpt! My mystery fans will love this book, as will my students who like The Running Dream, We Were Liars, and If I Stay.

Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley was a quirky excerpt. Since it is about a 16 year old agoraphobic boy, I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at the humor injected into what I have read. Humor with heart, I believe it is called. A good one for those John Green fans!

The Progeny was a book I felt a little iffy when I read the summary. However, the excerpt cleared that right up and now I can't wait for the rest! Emily gets her memory erased. When she goes back home, she finds a note she wrote to herself before the procedure telling her to keep her face off of the internet because her life depends on it! Dun, dun, duuuuuuuun! Horrible/perfect place to end an excerpt. I'm feeling like this book will go over well with my Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick and Gone Girl fans.

Books that I didn't care for aren't going to be berated here because in YA lit I know these have a place in someone's heart, even if they just weren't for me or my patrons. I highly advise you to download this free book yourself, sit back, and enjoy the ride!

This made me want to read "With Malice"! The description of it on goodreads didn't really catch me, but I loved the writing style in the excerpt and it left me wanting to know what happens!

I was really excited to see an excerpt from "Girl In The Blue Coat" in here, because I've been really looking forward to that book! The writing didn't disappoint and I can't wait for the actual book to come out!

"My Lady Jane" sounds like it's going to be absolutely hilarious and entertaining! There should be more YA books like this out there!

Buzz Books are one of my favorite ways to discover new-to-me books and authors!

While I may not read every single word of every single sample, I read enough to know if I'm going to like the story or not. That's the beauty of these samplers - there's something for everyone!

Here are the samples that stood out for me this time:

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. A retelling of Lady Jane Grey's story, but with a shapeshifter twist! The excerpt was incredibly intriguing, and I'm a sucker for anything to do with the King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I era!

Didn't think I would like The Progeny (by Tosca Lee) after reading the synopsis, but the excerpt really grabbed my interest! It's about a descendant of a notorious serial killer who is being hunted by a mysterious group. Sounds like a fascinating thriller, and I've already requested a review copy!

Another surprise was how much I enjoyed And I Darken by Kiersten White. A historical novel set in the 15th century, featuring the children of Vlad the Impaler. I don't usually read historicals, but the characters really leapt off the page!

Already looking forward to the Fall/Winter sampler, as I love discovering new reads!

I always love when a new Book Buzz comes out. It is a great way to discover new authors and their books. I don't have time to read books I'm not going to like so this is perfect for me. I found many "have to" reads for me and the link at the end of the excerpts works great for me......I requested many of them! Fingers crossed!!

This season's collection of books was fantastic. While I didn't want to go out and read every book, each snippet was intriguing. It gave a taste of what the book was about, without leaving the reader utterly lost or giving away major plot points. It was great to have netgalley links for many of the books, so that you could immediately request them,

YA has gotten to be such a hugely crowded genre that I really appreciate these overviews of the up-and-coming buzz books to give me a starting place. There's always something mentioned that I hadn't heard of and that I end up looking forward to reading. This season's highlights include Victoria Schwab's The Savage Song, which wasn't on my radar, and Kiersten White's And I Darken, and I also love getting a bit of a tease for the final Raven Boys book by Maggie Stiefvater.

A great overview in current publishing trends.

As always, this book helps me know which books to request and read and helps me weed out any books that are not a great fit!

I got this originally for the fact it had an excerpt of Victoria Schwab's This Savage Song in it, before I took the time to note it also has a handful of other great authors I've enjoyed previously (though not to the same levels as the magical Schwab)... Kiersten White's And I Darken seems great, and although I'm still catching up through the series, I did still read the peek at Maggie Stiefvater's The Raven King.

With Malice by Eileen Cook was captivating and preordered, My Lady Jane by the trilogy has also been preordered, and Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley caught me by surprise how distraught I was to find I'd finished the sample!

Can't wait for these books to come out!
