While Lives of a Salvager is book two in the Ancient Language of the Earth series, it can be enjoyed on its own. Book one, Birth of the Anima, is a “feminist fantasy novel with a serious hook” (Foreword Reviews) and was a finalist for the 2021 National Indie Excellence Award in fantasy.
