Description
Back together.
Back on the case.
And back to solving murders . . .
At sunrise, high in the Italian hills, a body is found on the steps of a beautiful private villa. On the body is a threatening note, signed by a mystery man.
Back at We Solve Murders HQ, Amy, Rosie, and Steve leap at the chance to take on their first proper case. So what if their new client seems to have his own reasons for avoiding the police? All they need to do is uncover who left the note, and then find them. Simple.
But once they start digging, the suspects keep piling up: there’s Sweden’s most-wanted criminal, a canny ex-wife and a fierce business rival – yet the murderer keeps evading them. And as the trio chase a villain through the shadows, danger travels closer to home . . .
Between Italy and Palm Springs, via Barcelona and Steve’s village pub, can the team catch an elusive killer who knows EXACTLY where to hide?

Thank you to NetGalley, Richard Osman, and Penguin for allowing me to read a free ebook in exchange for my honest opinion.
We Chase Shadows is the second installment in Richard Osman's newest mystery series, We Solve Murders. We get to visit again with Rosie, Steve, Amy, the pub quiz team, and Trouble as they are hired to investigate the murder of a bodyguard to a semi-legitimate businessman in Tuscany. In the pocket of the dead man is found a threatening note signed by an international assassin and all around bad guy with the promise of another murder to come. The team travels around the world while unraveling what seems to be an impossible mystery, with the help of Interpol and the US Border Police.
I loved each of the characters! Even the evil characters were complex. The mystery was extremely intricate and well thought out. There was plenty of action, travel, and many plot twists!

Gem of a read and worthy second book of the new series. Funny, engaging, quirky, with a good murder to be solved. And a wonderful cat to boot! Loved it! It was exactly the book I needed.
I look forward to recommending it to other mystery fans.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, "We Solve Murders". I was extremely delighted to be able to read an ARC of the second offering. It was so good and quick witted as you would expect. I found the characters as lovely as I did the first time around. Can't wait for the third book!! Quick paced, quick witted, an absolute joy to read!

Richard Osman's books are always a delight. This book kept me smiling all the way through while also being an engaging murder mystery that kept me guessing to the end. Can't wait to see what Amy, Steve, and Rosie get up to next!

Another winner by Richard Osman! I really enjoyed the first book in this series and I'm happy to say this one was just as good. The mystery was intriguing, with twists that I didn't see coming but also weren't outlandish. I love the characters in this series. They have such a great dynamic, and as always the side characters are also interesting. I can't wait for the next book (hopefully there will be one!).
