What a cute way of showing young children different kinds of homes! Cute little poems that help children to understand what different types of homes are or look like. And as the title says, we get to come in and see what the homes looks like for the inside! Many children grow up believing that everyone has the same lived experience, so this is a cute way to allow them to see just how different our homes can be. The illustrations are also fun, engaging, and truly beautiful.

Using Nikki Grimes word spinner Irene Latham writes a book that could fit into Richard Scary's world. The art work is reminiscent of his work as well. The poems are short, and comprehensive about life in a small town. This would be a great book for young readers to connect to poetry.

This absolutely adorable read will be sure to capture kids young and adult from toddlers up as it goes through all of the different types of homes someone can have with the many different people and things in them! The illustrations were colourful and captivating. My 5 year old and I absolutely loved this delightful, cozy read and would highly recommend as being both fun and educational!
