Wow I wish I could give this book more that 5 stars it definitely deserves them. This emotionally packed book has me think of how I felt when reading Laurie Kellogg's The Memory of You. This book was so powerful & made my heart ache for Ava & Brian whose lives had been changed in an instant. What started out as a fun weekend turned 2 families upside down. Brian after being in a devastating riding accident at his graduation party had to learn everything all over again. Ava having spent the best night of her life with Brian at that party weekend finds out she's pregnant & Brian doesn't remember who she is. Changing career paths Ava does what she thinks is best for her child. 7yrs later Brian & Ava meet up again & Brian immediately falls for Ava. Now the past has come to meet the present & lives are going to be changed again. Very well written. This a book that is going to stay with me for a long time. Definitely recommend this book.

4.5 Stars!

Dancing in the Sand by Maria Imbalzano is an intense and emotional read. This is the story of Ava Woodward, an aspiring ballet dancer on her way to becoming a successful ballerina with a professional dance company. Unfortunately she has to give up her dream after a night of passion with her best friend's older brother. With the exception of her sister, Ava has never told anyone about her rendezvous with Brian. Seven years later, when her weekdays are all about being an associate lawyer, and her weekends are all about spending time with her niece, she and Brian meet again, and Ava is back on the roller-coaster which is her life.

During the celebratory weekend of Brian Stanhope's graduation from Harvard, he falls off a horse. As a result of his accident, he suffers from many injuries and memory loss. After years of rehabilitation, he is finally back in the saddle again. He is a successful businessman and manages his family's fracking company. However, he has no recollection of his time with Ava and the passion that they once shared. When he runs into her at her workplace, he feels an attraction that cannot be explained. Overtime, some of his memories come back, as he and Ava rekindle the desire they once shared. However, a lot has happened during the past seven years and Ava's many secrets are finally divulged.

This touching and powerful read is replete with discovery, sexy times and forgiveness. Ava and Brian are truly goodhearted and generous people, and I liked them more and more with each word I devoured. Ms. Imbalzano does an amazing job of defining the characters, and I felt that I knew them all intimately by the end of the book. Ava and Brian are each others savior, as they forge forward together to give their love a chance at forever. This is a well-written story that twists and turns in all the right places.

I loved this book from beginning to end. It 's a romantic and intense story, about how love can change forever people's lives and even their dreams.
Ava and Carrie are great friends and they share the dream of dance, to become great dancers. Carrie and her brother Brian organized a meeting with their friends of College in their guest house. For Ava, this weekend will be the most beautiful and ugliest of her life and everything will change forever. A beautiful night, a romantic ride under the stars, a few hours of passion and a terrible awakening. Ava wakes up and doesn't find Brian next to her, comes out and sees that he is taking away in an ambulance, he has had a terrible riding accident. Ava is tormented by guilt, is the last person to see him, she could do something to save him. Their ways diverge but fate decided to give them another chance and makes them meet again. Will they live their love story?
Ava is a great character, I loved every minute I spent with her. She's a strong heroine, determined, very sweet and a great friend. The author is very good to give us a share of her emotions: we suffer with her while she waits for news of Brian, when she finds out that maybe he has forgotten her forever ...
It 's really well written, with easy style and short sentences making the pace fast and smooth.
If you love romantic stories with great characters you must read this story.
