Description
A fast-paced action comedy series debut about rookie assassin Bonnie, perfect for fans of The Mafia Nanny, Spy x Family, and the romantic thrills of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Set in present day Ireland and featuring manga-inspired artwork, this graphic novel based on the hit WEBTOON comic Accidental Assassin features fast-paced action, a slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance, and fun hijinks.
To her peers, office worker Bonnie isn’t cut out for a high-powered corporate life. Sweet, bubbly, and a lover of all things feminine and cute, she hardly fits in. Little do her coworkers know, Bonnie had an unusual, isolated upbringing where her father taught her a very uncommon curriculum.
Then a late-night office attack reveals the unexpected: Bonnie is as sharp and capable as she is deadly.
Catching the attention of a secret organization of assassins called Fianna, she is recruited as an apprentice. Inspired by a group of legendary Irish heroes, the Fianna are a covert, highly trained group dedicated to defending the world from chaos. Through any means necessary.
In this dangerous new world, Bonnie thrives—but she still hasn’t won everyone over. Ronan Clarke, the organization’s top operative, sees her as a joke. Forced to work together, Bonnie fights to prove herself to her cold new partner—no matter what it takes.
This first volume collects episodes 1 to 14 of the hit WEBTOON Accidental Assassin.

Accidental Assassin, Vol. 1 was such a fun surprise. It has corporate burnout, secret assassins, chaotic workplace energy, and enough tension between Bonnie and Ronan to immediately make me invested in whatever is going on between them.
Bonnie was easily my favorite part of the story. She’s cute, awkward, slightly chaotic, and somehow still incredibly capable when things go sideways. The contrast between her bubbly personality and the assassin world around her made the whole thing really entertaining, and I loved watching Ronan slowly realize she might actually know what she’s doing. Their dynamic carried the story for me.
The art style also worked really well with the tone. The action scenes were exciting without feeling overly graphic, and the humor landed almost every time. I do wish the story had been broken into clearer chapters because the pacing felt slightly repetitive in places, but overall this was such an addictive start to the series. I already know I’ll be picking up volume two.

Thank you to Netgalley for the arc!
This was a beautifully crafted comic with just the right amount of humor, mystery, suspense, and storytelling. The art is gorgeous and absolutely breathtaking. I loved the characters and the Bailey is such a fun fmc to follow. I am so excited to see where this goes next!

Accidental Assassin, Vol. 1 is an absolute blast: stylish, fast paced, and packed with the kind of chaotic energy that makes graphic novels so addictive. Molly Ní Chéileachair and illustrator VI deliver a sharp, vibrant story that blends humor, action, and character chemistry in a way that keeps you turning pages without realizing how quickly time passes.
The art is expressive and dynamic, the pacing tight, and the premise, an ordinary person stumbling into the world of assassins, is executed with charm and flair. It’s the kind of graphic novel that feels effortless to read but leaves you wanting more the moment you hit the last page.
If you’re looking for a fun, engaging, visually striking read, this is an easy five stars.
