Description
In the very first erotic short story she ever wrote, publisher and editor Lori Perkins explores an unexpectedly intimate connection—between a woman and her vacuum cleaner. Fresh off a breakup, our heroine throws herself into reclaiming her space, armed with a machine that, frankly, leaves her cold. But when her best friend and neighbor drops by with a tantalizing recommendation, everything changes. Enter the Electro Deluxe—a sleek, powerful appliance that’s been quietly revolutionizing households across America. What begins as a simple demonstration quickly turns into something far more intriguing, as the Electro Deluxe reveals its impressive range of… attachments. Suddenly, cleaning isn’t just a chore—it’s an experience. And our heroine discovers that perhaps cleanliness really is next to OMGodliness. This short story also serves as a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Lori Perkins’ creative process. Frequently used as a teaching example in her popular lecture, “50 Shades of Green: How to Write Smut for Fun and Profit,” it traces the playful evolution of an erotic idea from spark to finished story.

Worth reading, take with a grain of salt, name-droppings, fun and good revenge on an ex. You need to imagine that this lady will have fun now cleaning her house.

This was a quick and fun read! After her best friend comes over for some drinks, she realizes her bestie needs a new vacuum.
There just so happens to be a new vacuum show case that has some fun attachments 🤭
I love the updated cover on Netgalley! It absolutely draws the reader in. This is not my first sentient object romance, so I knew exactly what to expect. I do wish there was more spice, but this book delivered exactly what it was supposed to! Thank you to Netgalley and Lori Perkins for an ARC of this book.

I read this to my husband and chuckled most of the way through.
A vacuum with dildo attachments is just funny to me. I was picturing all these women in their clubbing attire ready to test drive their new vacuums.
When I finished reading it I said to my husband “did you like the story?” He was like “well it was kinda weird. What, do you want one of those vacuums?”
😂😂😂😂

This was short and fun. I had no idea what to expect going into this but it sure was entertaining. Not a bad story for only like eleven pages.

A very short, erotic, and humorous story about a lady who discovers that cleaning house can be more fun than having a boyfriend! The story is a quick, silly tale and the time flies by. Worth the flight of fancy. Silly and fun.
