I loved the art work! I have a niece that is in the stage of struggling with bathtime so to show her Grumbly Jumbly taking a bath even though they were grumpy about it was helpful! Will be purchasing a physical copy for her!
I already left an Amazon review for the book itself!
Grumbly Jumbly - Don S Roth
Beautifully illustrated and perfectly written, The Grumbly Jumbly is a delightful treat for young readers and adults alike. The story is full of charm and whimsy, and the characters practically leap off the page. I especially love Wiggle Waggle’s hair! 🌈 It’s playful, vibrant, and perfectly matches their mischievous personality, making them instantly unforgettable.
The book combines gentle humor with heartfelt moments, making it impossible not to smile while reading. Every page is a joy, with clever little details and surprises that reward careful eyes. The illustrations add so much depth and magic to the story—I could happily linger on them for hours, noticing something new each time. This is the kind of book that sparks imagination and invites repeated readings. A truly enchanting read, and I can’t wait to see what adventures come next! 🧚♀️ 🛁 🫧
Wonderful, illustrated children’s book. I picked this up because of the Scottish vernacular used in the blurb. This was unusual, and I’m a Scot. I was intrigued.
The narrative has flow, a nice rhythm.
There might be a message - no matter how much you hate something, like a bath, there are still rules. Or maybe look on the bright side, ignore the grumpies (apparently not a word, but I think it suits this book fine).
But I just took it to be a bit of fun reading, with fantastic illustrations. It made me smile.
If you are the sort of parent with fairies at the bottom of the garden great, read it. If you are not, but just like to read a bit of whimsy with your child, then read it. There’s lots to chat about, as you share the book and cuddles.
