A completely delightful and brilliantly cozy paranormal rom-com that deserves a glowing four-star rating! This book serves up the ultimate comfort-read cocktail by mixing a charming, magical bookstore setting with an electric enemies-to-lovers dynamic that leaves you smiling from ear to ear.

The banter between Lucy, the fierce and protective bookseller witch, and Grayson, the stubborn and incredibly handsome professor from Dublin, is a total masterclass in romantic tension. Their playful magical warfare and constant bickering radiate unforgettable chemistry, keeping the pages flying by at a breathless pace. Noon breathes so much life and warmth into the cozy town of Little Brook, making the reader feel instantly enveloped by its heartwarming community and sweet family bonds. The whimsical blend of bookish magic and genuine emotional depth creates a beautifully comforting atmosphere that you simply never want to leave.

The only minor critique keeping this from a full five stars is a slightly repetitive middle section where the characters cycle through their mutual denial a bit too long, but the dazzlingly spicy payoff and sweet resolution completely make up for it. It is a wonderfully fun, magical romance that will leave you absolutely spellbound.

Thank you very much for the ARC!

I really loved this book. Having main characters that were so self aware was so refreshing! The plot was also well paced, raising the tension in a way that kept me wanting more without going too fast. I loved how this book explored relationship building with non-romantic as well as romantic partners, and also showed how people can grow and change with time. And that it really is never too late to try and build the relationships that you want with the people in your life. I liked that it had a light sprinkling of magic in it to add to the charm and whimsy of the story. Overall this was a sweet book and it is something that I really needed at this moment. I think a lot of people need that reminder that being open and honest with each other can get you very far, and that there is a lot of love in the world if you know how to look for it.

This has made me want to have a cute pastel summerween. This year instead of a dark gothic vibe 🤣 this book is such a cute cozy read that I definitely will be purchasing the physical so I can give it a real read.

A cozy little enemies to lovers story with a small magic twist! Though I did find their lack of communication a bit irritating at times, Grayson and Lucy were adorable, and I really enjoyed their story.

This very much is The Pumpkin Spice Cafe meets A Witch's Guide to Magical Inn keeping, and anyone who has fun reading those would thoroughly enjoy this as well.

Thanks very much to netgalley and the publishers for the ARC!

I really enjoyed this story! Lucy Ansari is a bookstore manager who is able to use magic. She loves the store, and loves helping people find the perfect book for them. Grayson is the bookstore owner’s grandson, and he comes to help when his grandfather gets injured. I really enjoyed seeing these two start to fall for each other. They are both opposites, and I laughed so hard seeing them try to outdo each other. I felt so bad for Grayson: he just wanted to have a relationship with his grandfather and feel like he belonged. It was easy to understand why he was so jealous of Lucy and her close friendship with Charles.

I loved Lucy so much. She loved Charles and wanted to take care of him, since she didn’t feel much love from her family. I loved how she was able to learn to open up to others, and tell her family how she really felt. The ending felt so special and you could really see how her parents were really trying to reach out.

I liked how the story was not just about Lucy and Grayson’s relationship, but about how they learned to communicate with all their friends and family. I really disliked the miscommunication towards the ending, but was happy that this one didn’t last too long. I enjoyed this book! Thank you Netgalley for my ARC. The views are entirely my own.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

Lucy Ansari is literally living the magical dream as a witch running a cosy little bookshop, alongside her beloved elderly boss Charles, who honestly stole my heart.

Everything changes when Charles breaks his hip and his very grumpy (but very hot) grandson Grayson arrives from Dublin to take over helping at the shop. Lucy’s peaceful little life is instantly thrown into chaos.

Grayson is stubborn, prickly, and way too handsome, but the tension and banter between him and Lucy were so much fun. And underneath all the bickering, there’s so much chemistry and yearning building between them.

This was the perfect mix of cosy magic, romance, spice, and spooky season vibes. I absolutely ate this up.

What a sweet, fun, cozy read! I loved the little but of magic discussed and practiced and loved her specialty being "book magic" helped people find their love of reading, so cute! This was a bit of a slow burn enemies to lovers. You can tell quickly they are meant to be together, however they must overcome some miscommunication situations. Once they are able to communicate more openly and work on themselves a bit, their HEA is sweet and well deserved! I enjoyed this quick read and can imagine how sweet this would be to read with a cozy pumpkin spice latte this fall!
