Rosie is a total bada$$! She is tasked with going to a new country to be the bodyguard to a "lost prince". Not everyone is happy with his return, there are many threats and events that happen. Who to trust? Only thing I didn't like about this book is it's not officially out yet and I NEED book 2 immediately.

Oh. My. God. I did not know how much I missed reading new Emma Lord books until I was suddenly most of the way through this book and so completely engrossed in it. It might just be my favorite book from her yet (give me another two business days to get over that ending and it definitely will be my favorite of hers).
This book was really everything I love in a book, and with a nice Princess Diaries twist—a Prince who didn’t know he was a Prince and the young woman who is called in to be his bodyguard because of a bunch of mysterious threats popping up against him. I loved all the characters in this book dearly, and the story really kept me engaged from start to finish. I need the next book in this series immediately.

Woo baby! Emma Lord, how I love you. Thank goodness that this is going to be a series…especially with that ending. I was seriously hooked from start to finish. I had to pry the book out of my hands to get some sleep. I would have read it in one sitting.

This book was such a fun, charming escape from beginning to end. Emma Lord’s writing is warm, engaging, and full of heart. She has a way of creating characters who feel wonderfully genuine, making it easy to become emotionally invested in both their personal journeys and the romance. The humor, heartfelt moments, and fast paced plot come together beautifully. And I will be recommending to anyone who loves swoony romances with a touch of adventure.
