Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book. I absolutely love this authors style of writing. It was entirely thrilling and kept you hooked until the very end. Was not expecting those twists.

The pages of this well penned thriller had me hooked from the very beginning. Murder, lies, deception, and a missing person are not what Becca thought she'd find in Florida. It was supposed to be a piece on disgruntled honeymooners, no murder was to be involved. But now that's exactly the direction this story has taken, and Becca has found herself right in the middle of it. Someone is trying to take her down, but for what reason?

If you like domestic thrillers than I have no doubt you will love what Bad Honeymoon has to offer, one page in and you'll be hooked!

I had previously read The Business Trip, and that book had me hooked very early so I knew I had to give this one a shot.

Wow, am I glad I did. What a killer book. It reads like a popcorn thriller but actually has more depth to it. The plot twists are insanely clever and I lost two nights of sleep finishing this.

Absolute masterpiece I will be telling everyone I know to read this!

Becca and Trevor are married.. Trevor has a ex wife Liz and daughter named Frankie. Becca is a reporter and seeks to get her floundering career going in a positive direction. She ends up traveling to Florida to pursue a story. She was supposed to meet up with the wife in a story that would be an amazing career boost. She is straight with her struggling brother when in Florida. When things fall through in Florida wit her sorry Becca is devastated. But it turns out nothing is what it seems in her trip to Florida and soon Becca gets captured in to jail for murder. Meanwhile we meet Liz Trevor’s ex and his mother that comes to lend a hand while Becca is out of town. We also meet Becca’s boss and coworker. Will Becca’s family and friends be able to prove her innocence before it’s too late? And what exactly happened in Florida that provided so much evidence of Becca’s guilt… and who is behind it? The answers are juicy and worth the wait!

Bad Honeymoon is one of those books when you start it, you want to finish. Storyline grabs you from page one. Thanks to NetGalley for the early read. So many twists in the story and nothing is what it seems, so pay attention. Highly recommend this thriller!

I jumped at the chance to read this book because Jessie Garcia has impressed me with her books. I was I a bit of a book slump and luckily Bad Honeymoon didn’t disappoint. I loved this one!

Becca Larson is a tv reporter looking for her next big story when she gets wrapped up in a murder investigation. This story was fast paced and interesting. I enjoyed reading about Becca’s family. Jessie Garcia is becoming a must read author for me!

It took a moment for me to get into the story line but once I did... I was fully invested! The twists just kept twisting. I literally kept trying to figure out who was the secret behind it all and boy was I wrong! The major twist had me GASPING! Absolutely enjoyed this one, it kept me on the edge of my seat and I could NEVER have guessed the outcome!!

A vacation gone horribly wrong! A scam that will have you guessing who is behind it. Twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat. I audibly gasped at one of them and that is what I love in a book! I will be recommending this to all my friends and family and sharing it on pub date!

Great book. Very original with lots of directions this story could have gone. I'm not usually an emotional reader, but this one had me laughing in parts and teary eyed in others. The relationships and motivations behind so much of what the characters did came across as very real. I'm always super pleased when I can read a book that doesn't remind me of so many others I've read and this one was good. Take some good people, throw in some evil ones, put in a couple of dumb decisions on the part of the good people and there you have it. I was never really sure where this was going to end up and who the evil ones really were, but it was worth the read. I loved how it all came together at the end.

For starters, I went in with extremely high expectations because I have read this author before and really enjoyed her. This one absolutely did not disappoint. If you like Thrillers this one had really good pacing and I really liked the plot. There were no long spots where the plot drug out and I stayed engaged the entire book. Highly recommend

Jessie Garcia has become a master at psychological thrillers. "Bad Honeymoon" will keep you guessing from page one until the very end. Even though she hasn't written many books yet, I have enjoyed the ones she's written so far. This book was my beach read for the end of the summer. Kudos and thanks for the ARC!!!

Bad Honeymoon follows TV reporter Becca Larson, who travels to Florida to cover what seems like a straightforward story about a newlywed couple whose honeymoon went horribly wrong. But after meeting with the bride, Eve, and arranging to film her story, Eve suddenly disappears. Then a woman turns up dead, and somehow the evidence begins pointing back at Becca.

This is my second book by Jessie Garcia, and after loving The Business Trip, I jumped at the chance to read this ARC.

It took me a couple of chapters to really get into this one, but once I did, I was fully invested. I especially enjoyed the multiple POVs and how often the story had me second-guessing what I thought I had figured out.

SPOILERS AHEAD!
At around 37%, I started suspecting Elaine was involved in creating the fake honeymoon photos at her mother's request. The mention of Elaine taking video-editing courses immediately stood out to me, especially when it was paired with the idea that Veronica would do whatever it took to protect her daughters.

But Garcia managed to talk me right out of my own theory. 😂

By 59%, I had moved on to thinking Brian had arranged the fake Eve situation and had someone connected to them kill Gin in order to frame Becca.

Then around 70%, Xavier landed on my suspect list.

And at 86%... turns out I should've gone with my first instinct after all!

So yes, I did predict a major part of the reveal fairly early, but I don't think that ruined the book for me at all. If anything, I have to give Garcia credit for throwing enough doubt and alternative possibilities into the story that I abandoned the correct theory more than once.

Overall, Bad Honeymoon was another really enjoyable thriller from Jessie Garcia. Even with figuring out part of the twist early, I had a lot of fun trying to piece everything together, and I'll definitely be reading more of her work.

I've been here since Jessie Garcia's debut and she remains a must read author. I love her writing style, it's completely addictive.

I loved the many POVs, so many characters had their own voice in this story, and I couldn't wait to get back to it whenever I had to put it down. It was a bit far fetched, but highly entertaining and propulsive. I loved it!

The setting, vibes and characters immediately pulled me in and I was hooked since the first chapter! I finished this in one sitting because I just had to know how it was going to end! This was my first book by Jessie Garcia and I'd love to check out more!
