Kimchi Taco Time was absolutely the best! The descriptions of the foods used to make the tacos were mouthwatering and the family vibe was so loving and cozy.
I had never considered combining kimchi with tacos because I thought kimchi was always wildly spicy (not a fan of that), but due to the book content and the glossary, I now know how you can make non-spicy kimchi with ketchup and mayonnaise and we will be trying this out this weekend.
Yum! to the recipes and Yea! to the book and its author.
This book was super cute. The illustrations are wonderful. This is a story about a family taco night and of course trying spicy kimchi on a taco. I loved that this book even includes a recipe for kimchi. I think this would be a fun book to share with your child and to make a new or old recipe with your child.

This was a fun book! The graphics and sound effects were both so fun and really added to the story! I loved learning about other types of foods I’m not as familiar with. It’s a great introduction to new things for kids!
What a fun and beautiful story! This story shows the power of food and how by trying something new, you might just find your new favorite thing! I thought the art was stunning and the character designs worked perfectly with the story! Some of my favorite additions were the recipe and guide in the back and the kimchi end pages!
I loved the all of the fun noises that were included when they took a bite of their perfect taco! I think this would be so fun in a classroom setting or for a themed family dinner! This book is definitely a winner in my eyes! I highly recommend!

Adorable illustrations, vivid colors. I showed to my kids and they really liked how the the characters were drawn. The story is meaningful too. I have a picky eater and I have to often sing the try new things song because they are used to eating things a certain kind of way. I could see this being a book that informs kids of other cultures foods and also to always try new things because you may like it!

I really enjoyed the art in this picture book. The story works well to introduce readers to or reflecting Korean food traditions. I offer a program at my school called Literary Travelers which allows me to "travel" with students to various countries through books, videos, music, and crafts. This book, with its back matter would be a great addition for that program.
