Painter knocked it out of the park with this incredible YA romance! The chemistry between Julia and Damion is absolutely electric. Their banter and yearning is perfect for young readers. I cannot wait to add this to my middle school classroom library, they will devour it.

I would read anything Lynn Painter writes. Out of all her books this one is by far my favourite one. Even surpassing Better Than The Movies!
The New York setting is perfect, it’s a must read for the fall time.

in trust fall by lynn painter we get a dual pov from damion and julia. damion is the grandson of remi, who unfortunately passes and leaves his estate to julia and her family. however, julia is under the impression that lou (who is also remi) was an important person in her small-town community has left his fortune to her and her family. her family is required to live on the estate, while julia and her brother attend school for 6 months at gardenwood academy before they fully inherit all of lou’s estate and money.

when first starting this book, it took me a little bit to get into it as it was just getting set up. however, after i was about 20% the way in i found myself so invested. i was actually reading the book at work and could not put it down. i love the dual pov we get as it allows us to see deeper into damion’s character and his relationship with his family and himself. i couldn’t help falling so in love with damion and how much he cared for julia. the book overall was truly just such a cute romance. what else could i expect from lynn painter, her young adult romances always just do it for me.

I’m well and truly addicted to anything Lynn Painter writes. No one captures that nostalgic, heart-fluttering feeling of a first crush quite like she does. Every single time, she transports you right back to high school, to all the excitement, butterflies, and sheer awkwardness of that first love feeling.

A small town Nebraska girl meets a lifelong New Yorker, and it’s the perfect meet-cute. Take everything you love about a Lynn Painter novel and set it against the backdrop of New York City in the fall, then add a little Gossip Girl, an unexpected inheritance, and plenty of teen drama.

The vibes and setting of this book were just thoroughly unmatched. I can only hope this isn’t the last autumnal story we get from Lynn, because she made me want to bottle up fall in New York and live there forever!!!
