Lindsay Rush is an auto buy/ auto read for me always. I love her poetry. It is raw, it is real and it makes me laugh. Big fan of this book and can’t wait to get a physical copy in my hands. Thanks so much for the Arc!

We live in challenging and depressing times - sucking the joy and hope from our lives - mostly. The title, cover, and summary of the book caught my attention and I was glad that I read this. This book was funny, a bit puny, facing the realities of what is happening around us with humour and hope. Trying to find the divine in all the small things to remind us to to watch for those small, lovely things. The poetry comes in different formats and while a quick read, I found myself stopping frequently to savour the words and the feelings they emitted. I pay attention to the awful reality of the world and this book made me forget all of that in small doses. There is a great deal of wonder around us to ease the worry and depression of all else.

Author's note: I hope it makes you laugh. Because sometimes that is a rebellion all its own.

Loved this book! I’ll be gifting this one to several people next year. Lyndsay’s writing is so relatable and timely. She knows how to reach people with her words. You’ll laugh and you might cry. Highly recommend!

I absolutely ate this up. The poems hit deep and felt authentic. Probably gonna read it a second time because I enjoyed it so much. I wasn’t familiar with this author but can’t wait to dive into more of her work. I highly recommend checking this one out when it releases.

It takes a certain finesse to make hopeless topics have silver linings, and Rush does that. The dark(ish) humor she writes with spoke to crash outs my millennial soul has had as well over the past few years. The humor surrounding being canonically online, the political hellscape, and womanhood was elite, and in my opinion those were the strongest pieces in this collection. There were also themes of grief and friendship sprinkled throughout as well. The punny titles on some of these really took the cake and had me audibly chuckling. I found the experimentation with the formatting (the slashes without line breaks and redacting blackouts) to be eye-catching. This poetry felt modern, raw, and fresh while still touching on the core ideologies of what it means to be a human.
