I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in pretty quickly, and I found myself constantly trying to piece everything together. Just when I thought I had things figured out, something else would happen that made me question the direction of the book.
One thing I really appreciated was the writing style. It was descriptive without feeling overdone, and it made it really easy to picture each scene as I was reading. I also loved that the past trauma story was set around WCU. Since I’m familiar with the campus, it was fun being able to visualize so many of the locations, and it made the story feel even more real.
I also liked that the suspense didn’t rely on nonstop twists. Instead, the story slowly unraveled, revealing more and more with each chapter, which kept me wanting to keep reading.
Overall, this was a really solid psychological thriller with plenty of suspense, family secrets, and enough surprises to keep me invested. I’d definitely recommend picking this one up.

I was totally gripped from the very first chapter and ended up flying through this book in less than 24 hours! The short chapters and relentless pacing made it incredibly easy to read, and I constantly found myself saying "just one more chapter" late into the night. It is an absolute page-turner.
The only elements that gave me a slight pause were some of the character dynamics and a missing plot point introduced earlier in the book never quite got addressed or resolved by the finale, which left me with a few lingering questions.
That being said, the sheer momentum of the story completely won me over. If you love fast-paced, addictive stories that you can devour in a single weekend, you definitely need to add this to your TBR
