This book is exceptional! As an acquaintance of an individual with hearing difficulties, I value the American Sign Language books that facilitate learning. The colorful illustrations in this book make it simple for children to follow, and most importantly, it provides clear explanations and demonstrations of winter signs in an easily comprehensible manner. I would recommend this book!

Sign the Seasons: Winter

Very breif. But this book shows the representation of winter themed sign language. It is a good resource for elementary school library to bring social emotional learning and more inclusive learning.
What an exceptional resource?? The colourful illustrations are so so engaging and the instructions are easy to follow :) this is how fun learning should always be!
We need more of such interactive, accessible learning resources :)
I absolutely adored this little book. It was not only cute, but genuinely useful—I found myself practicing the signs at work while reading.
What I especially appreciated was how approachable it made sign language feel. Small books like this give children, and the adults reading with them, just a few more ways to communicate without making the learning process feel overwhelming. The seasonal focus keeps things manageable, and if a child becomes interested, there are similar books covering the other seasons. The imagery was a perfect fit for the vocabulary and made the signing motions especially easy to follow and execute. I read this digitally and still had no trouble practicing the signs directly from the page, which says a lot about how clearly the book is designed.
I love the idea of books like this helping to introduce and improve basic sign-language literacy. Even learning a few everyday signs and common phrases can give people more ways to communicate with one another. These small, accessible introductions can make something new feel far less intimidating.A lovely, useful little book, and an easy five stars for me.

I love this cute little board book! I am always trying to incorporate ASL into my lapsit programs for the little ones and I think this book would be a fantastic addition to my lapsit/storytime to teach the kids some basic ASL and maybe get them interested in learning more!
It also has beautiful illustrations.

This book is a perfect example of how to make learning and inclusivity fun.
The story is short and simple to allow focus on learning eight different winter themed signs. The illustrations are beautiful and engaging. I really liked the colour-scheme and the style. It was nice to see a sweet sibling duo enjoying the season together. I am already looking forward to the other books in the series.
The ASL instructions are very easy to understand and follow along. There are both written instructions as well as illustrated demonstrations of each sign. I think it is a great way to get kids interested in ASL and open up a whole other method of communication.
An entire collection of books like these would be such a great resource for schools, daycares and librairies. This is such a fun way to introduce simple signs to babies and early readers. I would reccommend this to other parents or educators
A delight to read! The art is so cozy, and the instructions are clear. I would love to see more books like it! ASL is a beautiful language, and this is a lovely little introduction to some signs.

This is a wonderfully illustrated board book! It can be difficult to find clear representations of ASL in books, so this will be a welcome addition to our library collection. The contextualization of the ASL signs is wonderful! Very excited for this and other titles in this series.
