This book encourages young adults to get creative with their social media feeds. There are a variety of prompts, such as "add another cat to the internet" with a space to draw. You're encouraged to take photos of your art and post them on social media with #PostThisBook, which also helps you find other's work. I love the concept! It encourages creativity and individuality, which can be lacking on social media! I loved that there was reminder at the beginning of the book about the permanence of images on the internet and a notice that you will be sharing to a wide range of people when using the hashtag.

However, it was very difficult to read in the Kindle format. I tried on both the Kindle App for iPhone and iPad and there were many conversion errors and broken images. I'm betting this book will be much better in print form.

I think this book is adorable.

It is a great way to get a community to start talking and share what they are reading. I think that this should be used in more books to encourage reading among young adults.

cover86411-medium Sometimes there is such a thing as too many memes and kitten gifs. David Sinden and Nikalas Catlow breathe fresh air into social media feeds with #Post This Book (Sourcebooks, $9.99, complete with built-in hashtag). This sweet inspirational book is suitable for tweens and teens, and even college students. It offers 150+ pages of ideas for tweeting, tumbling, facebooking, vine filming, and instagramming.

It's not a book you read. Each page offers one or two ideas along with quick descriptions. You turn pages, you get inspired, you go out and express yourself using those ideas. Everything is simple, but well tweaked to connect with an audience and inspire a conversation.

With kids and social media, there's always tension between privacy and free expression, appropriateness and creativity. I'm pleased to say that in the time I spent flicking through pages in this book and showing examples to my kids, that I didn't find anything objectionable or problematic.

The ideas in this book allow kids involve themselves in public fora using anonymous nicks and handles, of course, because, you know, reality. At the same time they're exploring their imaginations, they're not crossing inappropriate lines so prevalent on Tumblr and beyond.

This book's projects offer great ways to test the waters of social media in a positive way. Whether brainstorming how to "zombify something unlikely", videoing time lapsed "tidying up", or creating "a tabletop obstacle course", all the projects I read through were inspirational and fun.

#Post This Book goes on sale on July 1st from Sourcebooks. It's a perfect "gift" book -- for just 10 bucks, you can probably buy a small tin of colored pencils or markers to pair with it.

I was given early access to the manuscript for this review courtesy of NetGalley and Sourcebooks.

Perfect book for artists and those with creative minds. With lots of creative prompts and ideas, readers have a chance to create. While a great book, not perfect for library setting since you need to write in it, although I would love to buy for each of my teens.

Social-Network-Book for people who don't know what to post next and followers with a high tolerance for pigs-with-wigs pictures. Some nice ideas! And a good marketing strategy in itself.

Creative people in a creative stump, people who want to be creative, people who have nothing to do and just about everyone else will love Post This Book for its creative content. Basically, Post This Book is something like Wreck This Journal, where it provides you with instructions to do anything and everything creative and fun! The instructions ranges from drawing, coloring, filming videos, etc. It's a really fun book, and it's very interesting and interactive.

I can't say much about this book because I only have the pdf copy and can't actually draw on it or anything, but I have to say that it has a huge range of activities, and a couple is bound to catch your attention. I'd actually love to own a copy of this and film videos while participating in the challenge for others to see how fun this book is!

Also, this book has a hashtag (#PostThisBook) for participants to see each others' works and get ideas from each other. I really love the idea of the hashtag since I think it will bring the community closer to each other. I definitely recommend giving this one a shot!

This is a great little book that is full of fun prompts inspiring you to be creative. Take a step back from social media to create, and then share on social media with your friends and other artsy people. My favorite jumpstarts were Re-homing a penguin, mug shot, post found numbers, and film a thumb war in costume (I'm assuming the thumbs are in costume, not the filmmaker. :)

Although I had a preview copy and it was a digital edition, I loved flipping through the pages and seeing all of the different opportunities, and I can't wait to get started with some of these exercises (and to get one for my close friend so we can play together)!

I love these kind of books, but having it in ebook format isn't the best.

This is a really cool book. It is a creative adventure begging you to fill in it's pages.

I haven't done all the posts yet, mostly because at this moment I don't own crayons or colored pencils and I have this as an e-book so, I'd have to print most the pages out. One day I will do these all, maybe when I have more time and can but creative materials.

I really love this idea and the being social aspect. I might not always post everything I do in the future but, I will finish it all. Many unique and cool ideas.

Recommend? YES! If you use social media you should definitely grab this book and have fun!

I love this book. This is a wonderful book for all ages. My entire family enjoyed the fun. I can only imagine how much fun this would be in a classroom setting. There is just so much you can do with it. The e-reader version takes some creativity to use but it is possible. This is a book that I will revisit many times in the future and be looking for more by this author. Magnificent concept and content.

I kind of liked all of the "assignments" you had to do, the big problem was, that this is an eBook, which makes it impossible to do the tasks within the book. I think this took a lot of the purpose and a lot of fun away.

This books, Post This Book, is a cool creative book to give prompts to work through. The use of the #postthisbook is a brilliant marketing skill that the author employed. I am sad to say that as a ebook it is difficult to fully utilize this book because one cannot scribble on the pages. Great book none the less and there are awesome art prompts all over in this book! Thanks to the author and the publisher for the opportunity to review this book for net galley!
