Description
Who doesn’t love a second chance romance? Ellie Palmer’s fresh and funny paranormal-horror rom-com mashup, ’Til Undeath Do Us Part, is next-level.
Francesca and Alex Sikorski have been in couples therapy working on rescuing their rocky marriage—you know, reconnecting and learning how to better communicate.
But when a freak accident involving an ancient mosquito turns Francesca into a vampire, leaving her sun sensitive and a little murderous, healthy communication becomes the least of their problems. Though her mortician husband wants to save their relationship, undeath has added new challenges, like corpse disposal, late-night blood heists, and the obvious question of whether his wife’s a monster or finally herself again.
As bodies start piling up and a rival vamp threatens their tiny Minnesota town, it seems that their marriage might not be the only thing in need of saving.
“So delicious I devoured it in one sitting. Irresistible characters, a gripping plot, and banter to die for—this book is an absolute delight.”—Allie Oleander, author of Willing Prey

Gosh, the start of this book HAD ME IN MY FEELINGS. To say it starts off making you feel hopeless and sad (not in a bad way) for the couple is an understatement. I really enjoyed the evolution of the couple because like I said it started off rough… I love Frankie, she seems like the best type of woman who comes into her self slowly but surely after a big personal loss and learns so much about her wants and needs. I loved all the use of therapy language, and how they used them in their relationship.
You know what’s juicy and delicious to a vampire? A big bag of O negative probably. You know what’s juicy and delicious to me?! THIS BOOK! Guys, I have read her other books and I do believe that this could be Ellie Palmer’s best work to date and no I don’t think it has anything to do with recency bias. You want to know what I think?! Set yourselves free of the constraints of reality, write about vampires! It could be so fun and turns out, which I can say after reading this book, IT IS!!
Marriage in crisis trope alert!! Alex and Francesca are going through some tough life changes and trying some therapy until their shit gets ROCKED by trauma and a surprise vampire transformation! Once that happens it’s all funny banter and kooky circumstances and also high stakes love! The most important ingredient to this recipe (which makes all good romances work as usual) is that this man is DOWN BADDD! Like Bad Bunny. Like the whole time. Like a sickness. It’s perfection and I couldn’t get enough. He is not willing to let this woman go and he is willing to accept her any way she comes, wherever and whenever, and will do whatever it takes to keep her and make her happy.
Their chemistry was palpable and piping hot! The spice was finger licking good and I loved it. You should all do yourself a favor and just treat yourself to a nice time and read this book and I’m so serious.
Spice rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I wasn't quite sure what to expect going in, but I'm left with one of the easiest 5 star ratings of 2026. What a gem of a book that comes with a fresh, fun take on vampire lore!
I loved everything with this book - the writing style, the pacing, the banter, the lore, the characters, the drama, and the mystery.
What's so tragic, in this fun, quirky book, is that this could be any one of us. Alex and Frankie deeply love each other, but because of something they couldn't control, their marriage is slowly dying. However, not all of us can hope that dying will fix those problems. Watching Alex stand by her, and believing on her - no matter what - was so heartfelt and hopeful.
If you want a quick, witty, vampire romance this book is for you. If you want drama, gore and a good mystery, this book is also for you!
