A fake engagement spirals out of control and into a hunt for pirate's gold on a tropical island.

The universe loves to mess with journalist Sofia Alvarez. She already lost her relationship and her job, forcing her to accept a roommate to afford rent—her way-too-hot former coworker turned foe, Barrett. Now thanks to her ex forgetting to cancel his prearranged kiss cam marriage proposal at a New York Pirates hockey game, Sofia is about to lose her dignity, too. And in front of Barrett, no less.

Barrett “Bear” Winston always had a thing for Sofia. But when a personal emergency had forced Bear back to the UK, he’d all but ruined any chance he had with her all those years ago.
